NYX Trio Eyeshadow Swatches

Guys, i really feel bad about posting these girly posts sometimes but then i just have too many reviews about cosmetics and skincare that i need to post. So pls bear with me, i'm going to alternate non-girly post and girly post...and i m just too lazy to post these posts in another blog 'x'  And this is where the "read more" comes into play..lol.

Ok here are swatches for Nyx trio eyeshadow in yellow pearl/antique gold/golden and casablanca

I've had the yellow pearl trio for a year plus now, i bought it when i was so into gold eyeshadows. lol. but to date, i've still yet to find the perfect GOLDEN eyeshadow :( Swatches are done with and without primer. And the only eyeshadow primer i have is this Elf eyeshadow primer which i seldom use nowadays cos it doesnt really prevent my shadows from fading from my oily eyelids :( but i just ordered myself a UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion) so let's hope THAT will do some magic for my eyeshadows! :D

All the nyx trios comes with these foam applicators which you can see... i've never used...

from left to right : yellow pearl, antique gold and golden

the casablanca trio swatches

from left to right : light gray, pink and the dark gray

(again top without primer and bottom with)

both these trios are pretty neutral and work-safe colors as they are not really bright colors. I love wearing the casablanca trio to work as it gives my eyes a hint of colors without being too much. I love to wear the pink all over my eyelid,layered with the light gray in my crease and the dark gray on the outer corner of my eyes :)

and the texture of the shadows are pretty good! (tho i've heard people saying the NYX Single e/s are much better than the trios) i especially love the light gray in casablanca. it is just sooooo smooth! and currently these 2 trios are on top of my makeup drawers in my "frequently used products" level.lol

i dont know why the elf eyeshadow primer actually makes the shadows less shiny =_= but it does makes the shadow colors more vibrant tho. hope i get my UDPP soon!
