CNY 2009!

CNY is here!!!

I meant to post some CNY-related post before today but due to some unforeseen circumstances (namely....baking 'x') i was not able to...

What does CNY means to me?

Primarily involves...wearing new clothes...

(nice or not my dress? this year i bought all those satin like dresses...wahaha)

new shoes...new underwear

and oranges...lots n lots of them...these are blessed oranges frm the CNY mass this morning...hehe so i hope there's no more worms inside

anyway...small talk aside...

I wish you a happy CNY 2009!....may the year of the OX bring for you prosperity,goodness and health!

Shiny Search

Are you bored of the same old page you see everytime you type google.com? Don't you wish you could customize the page to a color that you like?
Have you heard of Shiny Search? This is the first time i've heard of it and the first time i went to visit the page, i was pleasantly surprised!
You will be greeted with a page showing all types of themes you can use to customize your search page.
The themes are categorized by categories such as guys,girly,kids,christian,gothic and other! On top of that, you could even put in your own customized text to display as the main heading on the search page! How cool is that?

I really love it, cos they have a wide variety of very pink themes for me to choose! :D The search page will still behave as normal but it sure looks a lot better!
On top of the search page, you can see a few shortcut links such as Email,Friends,News and others. With just one click you can go to gmail or yahoomail. You don't have to click on favourites links to check your mail. If you are a facebook freak, with just one click you can go to the facebook page.

CNY Dilemma

Come Chinese New Year, i bet even the tiniest most secluded boutiques in Kuching would be packed with ladies ever so eager to spend their money on buying new clothes for the occassion. As for me, this year, realizing how difficult it is to look for nice clothes few weeks before cny...I made it a point to do my shopping last month =)

I bought 2 dresses on Christmas day and told the bf, this is it, i wont be buying anymore clothes for CNY 2009 (to which he replied...YEAH RITE! =_=) But few weeks after that, i saw a nice dress from another boutique...hmmm to buy or not to buy...its ok, just buy lah, since i like it. Then another week after that, i saw another nice dress in an online boutique...ok just buy!

This is it, i told myself...no more shopping! (except for some cny shoes 'x') But just now i went shopping with my sis and i came back with another dress =_="

Its a disease i tell you!! i have no self control over shopping....HELP!!! I m going to lock myself in the house for the last few days before cny...

p/s for those who still have not found the perfect cny dress...try the row of boutiques along Jalan Tun Jugah =) Fashion.news is having storewide 50% sales!!!

New Year Gathering

I had some sort of a potluck gathering with a few of my colleagues during the New Year hols...its a very interesting gathering where each person bring 2 dishes/baked products which MUST be homemade...

I made my sausage buns :)

This is the 3rd time im making em...and i must say this batch is the best among all 3...soft fluffy bread!!! yay...i m soooooo proud =)

made these with some left over dough...

but the whole tray went into the bin cos a whole colony of ants got to them before us :(

ta daaa...everyone's hardwork put together...

Colorful Jelly Balls

After 2 weeks of silence...i am back!!!

My monitor kong-ed off 2 weeks ago and that should explain my lack of post...hehe...

Today, let me show you some really pretty colorful jelly balls

Purple ones...

Its those small round pellets which absorbs water when you soak them and they grow n grow into big squishy jelly marbles! =)

i like to squish n play around with them...wahaha

Back to School

Today being the first day of the new school year... i bet there were many school children crying their heads off this morning after the 1.5 mth long school break

i dont blame them...in fact, i feel the same way...i will have to go back to work tomorrow after my long christmas and new year break :(((((((((((((((

i feel all the symptoms...sore throat...dizziness...i wonder if its the attack of laziness or i m really sick? hehe...

anyway, life still have to go on and money has to be earned! but i wouldnt mind sitting around at home and waking up at 9am for another few weeks 'x'
