Frustration!!!

ok. i have to type this out somewhere before i explode into smithereens!!! there's this programmer at work who is SUPER kiasu, and always acts suspicious. During our last programmer's meeting, our boss assigned first TASK A to me and TASK B to her. So 2 days later, when i have already finished TASK A. She came and asked me, what was the task assigned to you the other day?

I said TASK A loh...

she said "isit??but i did TASK A woh!"

i said "no you were supposed to do TASK B (which i dont remember what it was) because boss assigned TASK A to me first and then TASK B to you"

she said "i dono wohhhh"

so i called our admin who were responsible to create "tickets" for us to write our programs. so i asked her which one's my task? she said TASK A for you and TASK B for her (the weirdo) ma !

then weirdo started singing a diff tune...oh..which database table did you call for your program? i said TABLE A . OH which one is mine? mine is calling TABLE B and C right (asking the admin)

i was like o_O if you already knew what table you were supposed to call why THE HELL did you still get confused on which task you were supposed to do!?!?!?

i REALLY don understand what she wanted to ask from me...SO PISSED!

Saving the Planet

Ok ok ... i m going to write a blog post finally... i really dont have the motivation to blog anymore since i got hooked on to facebook :P

anyway there are some things which i cant post on to facebook like the mindless stuffs i talk about here sometime...which is what i m going to do today! lol

well, on Monday evening, we went groceries shopping and while in queue at the cashier...we were shocked to found out from the auntie queuing up behind us that the supermarket is now practising NO PLASTIC BAG day on Mondays...WHAT?!?!

and there we were with a shopping cart full of stuffs...

when it got to our turn...it was a good thing they asked whether we need a cardboard box to put all our stuffs...so ok, cardboard box sounds good at least we dont have to spend rm3 to buy the bag

and i had to carry my half dozen of eggs bcos i worried that it might fall out of the box

so how do you think i looked cradling half a dozen of eggs like a baby to the car?

Something is growing

I have been so pet-deprived that i just needed something to tend to...those of you who have been following my blog for a while now would know i have brown thumbs :(

no plants under my care grows well, cactus included 'x'

so you can imagine how desperate i was when i bought a flower starter kit as my little "pet" ...wahahaa

i didnt really put much thought into how the little seed would fare under my care despite someone's discouragement...YOU??? PLANT???

but hey lookie here...

see what we have here! :) it has sprouted this morning!!!
wow i never experienced the joy of seeing the little seeds sprouting..hahaha

so hopefully you can see some flowers on this blog soon 'x' *keep fingers crossed*

Accident Prone me

Can't believe i m such a big klutz!

yes i got my finger cut AGAIN...

and you just wouldnt believe how i got it cut this time...you know the metal thingy u use to "kiap" things?

this one la...

well, i was in the office cafeteria one fine afternoon trying to put some kueh into a plastic bag and my finger somehow got trapped in between the metal edges of its handle =_="

it's almost absurd how much blood that cut produced!

Another Filler Post

Facebook is slowly driving my blog to its non-existance!!!!!!!!

The thing is i was resizing photos to blog just now and i just got stuck uploading more n more of them to my facebook...

Filler post

Hi all *waves*

this is a filler post in between my langkawi trip part I and part II (if any 'x')

so today i was happily having Beard Papa's cream puff for bfast....it was yummy btw! its my first time tryign beard papa's :P anyway, we will leave that story for another day....

after my satisfying bfast of cream puff + milocafe (milo+nescafe 'x') i went to the toilet with a pleased smile on my face. so i opened the door to my usual toilet cubicle (yeah i already have a fav toilet cubicle in my new office 'x') and....................... THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someone lao sai and forgot to flush!!! HOLY COW AND THE COW'S GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPARENTS! can u imagine how disgusting it was???

i went to the next cubicle and tried to control the urge to purge out my cream puff THREE times!!!

grrrr!

An Unfortunate Incident

As some of you might have known...i have been cooking dinner for the past 2 weeks...
quite fun and yet frustrating at times to cook....fun bcos i can experiment n cook only stuff i can eat...wahaha...frustrating bcos, i hv to think of what to cook everyday =_="

But last thursday, i was cutting up meat to marinade in the fridge for next day's dinner...i was washing the chopper and somehow i managed to slice my finger!!! ARGHHHHOWEEUEUEUEEUEEUEUOOOOOOOO

i can just feel the sharp sharp blade slicing my finger but my reflex is not fast enough to pull the blade away! silly right? but i think i can be such a klutz being a left handed handling all the sharp stuff and cooking...

alot of blood ooooooo...this one already wipe a FEW times but after i took this pic it continued to bleed :( to a point where i wondered whether anyone ever succumbed from a sliced finger 'x'

someone had to rush out to the nearest 7-11 to buy plaster for me....hehe...yes i managed to bring one whole carton of pill chi kit tek aun but forgot to buy plaster...for that, i m grateful to him!

heh...who wants chicken marinaded with my blood for dinner???

Hello from Penang

Hello!!!! i m safe n sound and still alive and am currently 'growing mushroom' in Penang! Imagine cramming everything from resigning,handing over my job, signing my contract with the new company, packing my things,saying goodbye and flying to Penang all in one month...just one month ago, i submitted my resignation letter with trembly hands n feet

i had taken this pic with the intention of blogging about it a month ago...but heh...better late than never! after submitting this letter i was not really on good terms with my now ex boss! GO TO HELL LAH U! okok... we will keep that story for another day 'x'

So goodbye my old cubicle...

this time round, i didnt have a headache packing up my stuff at work cos i tried not to bring as many TOYS to work

but i did bring this little rear view mirror back and even brought it with me to Penang ...*cough cough* just in case

Thanks everyone back in Kuching...colleagues, friends and family who have treated me to lunches n dinners! I've had THREE farewell lunches from my colleagues this time! and of cos the endless buying of dinner n lunches from others :P and also ang pows n gifts....i feel so loved! i might consider leaving again every few years 'x'

Buah Sukun aka Bread Fruit

Someone gave us sukun (bread fruit) last week. Sukun is one of my favouritest food! =) And i m always overjoyed to see buah sukun in the house :P

I love to eat it fried...

First, it is sliced thinly...

then deep fried to perfection!

it has a certain unique starchy taste which i absolutely love! do you like sukun?

Disturbing Ad

I saw this advertisement on a public bus a few months ago and for some reason or another...i find it disturbing!!!

Can you see that?? Biscuits coming out of the cow's tits! =_="

I know they are trying to say that the biscuits has real milk goodness and therefore, the cartoon used in the advertisement. Is it just me or have i just lose my sense of humor? Go figure...

World's Most Expensive Laptop

What is the most expensive laptop you have ever seen?

Few days ago, my colleague gave me the link to the Dell website and look what we have here...

A laptop that costs RM112,620!!! Even if you pay by instalment, you still have to pay RM9,386 a month!

Now we have seen it all ;)

p/s This was a mistake on the part of Dell, few days later they changed the price...it was supposed to be RM2,620! =_=""

Lost Doggie

It was raining quite heavily at around 6.30pm last Friday...and i was at the airport sending someone off...

So i parked my car...and as i got out, someone startled me abit. Actually it was as if he was waiting by my door for me to get out =\

ya very blur i know...but my one hand was holding the umbrella and my other hand was holding my handphone trying to take this pic

He looked very pitiful and cold under the heavy rain and he just squinted at me thru the pouring rain. I didnt knwo what to do with him lar...cos i was hurrying to walk to the airport building

So i called him doggie...and he walked a few steps following me! And stopped n looked at me...

I called him again..and he walked another 3 steps...this went on a few times

so i was trying to shield him from the pouring rain by sharing my umbrella with him until a car drove past and the people in it was like staring at me for sharing my umbrella with a dog! =_=

So i had to leave him alone there under the pouring rain, bcos i was pressed for time u see

The poor lost doggie...i hope u r alrite...LOL

Guardian's Paddington Bear Promo

Been crazy collecting these stamps lately...

For every RM25 spent at Guardian, you get 1 paddington bear stamps...when u collect up to a certain number of stamps, you can redeem the bear for free!!!

I am so crazy about the stamps that i :-

1. no longer shop at Watson's
2. ended up with extra bottles of shower foam,contact lens solution,shampoo,conditioner just to get extra paddington stamps 'x'

Guardian really know how to CHEAT us ladies =)

The thing is i m not really a big fan of paddington bear...must be the excitement of redeeming a bear by collecting stamps painstakingly...

I still have 7 more stamps to go...need to collect at least 20 stamps to redeem the smallest bear :(

but even if i cannot manage to collect up to 20 stamps by the due date, i will buy it for RM19.90 with 10 stamps...what is wrong with me!!!

p/s anyone have spare stamps for me? 'x'!

CNY 2009!

CNY is here!!!

I meant to post some CNY-related post before today but due to some unforeseen circumstances (namely....baking 'x') i was not able to...

What does CNY means to me?

Primarily involves...wearing new clothes...

(nice or not my dress? this year i bought all those satin like dresses...wahaha)

new shoes...new underwear

and oranges...lots n lots of them...these are blessed oranges frm the CNY mass this morning...hehe so i hope there's no more worms inside

anyway...small talk aside...

CNY Dilemma

Come Chinese New Year, i bet even the tiniest most secluded boutiques in Kuching would be packed with ladies ever so eager to spend their money on buying new clothes for the occassion. As for me, this year, realizing how difficult it is to look for nice clothes few weeks before cny...I made it a point to do my shopping last month =)

I bought 2 dresses on Christmas day and told the bf, this is it, i wont be buying anymore clothes for CNY 2009 (to which he replied...YEAH RITE! =_=) But few weeks after that, i saw a nice dress from another boutique...hmmm to buy or not to buy...its ok, just buy lah, since i like it. Then another week after that, i saw another nice dress in an online boutique...ok just buy!

This is it, i told myself...no more shopping! (except for some cny shoes 'x') But just now i went shopping with my sis and i came back with another dress =_="

Its a disease i tell you!! i have no self control over shopping....HELP!!! I m going to lock myself in the house for the last few days before cny...

p/s for those who still have not found the perfect cny dress...try the row of boutiques along Jalan Tun Jugah =) Fashion.news is having storewide 50% sales!!!

Colorful Jelly Balls

After 2 weeks of silence...i am back!!!

My monitor kong-ed off 2 weeks ago and that should explain my lack of post...hehe...

Its those small round pellets which absorbs water when you soak them and they grow n grow into big squishy jelly marbles! =)

Back to School

Today being the first day of the new school year... i bet there were many school children crying their heads off this morning after the 1.5 mth long school break

i dont blame them...in fact, i feel the same way...i will have to go back to work tomorrow after my long christmas and new year break :(((((((((((((((

i feel all the symptoms...sore throat...dizziness...i wonder if its the attack of laziness or i m really sick? hehe...

anyway, life still have to go on and money has to be earned! but i wouldnt mind sitting around at home and waking up at 9am for another few weeks 'x'

Hello 2009, Goodbye 2008!

Spent our holiday on the 29th of Dec watching movies at the Star Cineplex...2 movies in 1 afternoon...back to back...wahaha...

yeah crazy i know...the worst thing was, both movies were almost equally bad :(
The Day the earth stood still sucks...and so did The Spirit altho not as bad 'x'

By the time we finished, i was movie-sick...feeling dizzy and nauseous =s

In between movies, i managed to shoot a few shots of kuchign city from the balcony...

Really like how the colorful shophouses look on the cool afternoon

At times we really take our little city for granted...always complaining of how backwards it is...but that afternoon i realised how our city is beautiful with its a unique rustic charm

and this is going to be my customary new year post in my blog :P
