That time of the year

Well well well...i sorta feel that this blog is getting less and less 'personal' so to speak over the past few months with all my cosmetics reviews, food reviews, etc etc. So since there's only a week or so left till we bid goodbye to the year 2010 and only few days till Christmas, i thought i ought to write something more about my life :)

My Kagaya Dream

If you have seen Kagaya art before you would know what I'm talking about. Kagaya is actually the name of a Japanese artist who draws these spectacular "dream-like" images such as this. And would you believe i actually have been having a "series" of dreams in Kagaya-ic colors!

Saving the Planet

Ok ok ... i m going to write a blog post finally... i really dont have the motivation to blog anymore since i got hooked on to facebook :P

anyway there are some things which i cant post on to facebook like the mindless stuffs i talk about here sometime...which is what i m going to do today! lol

well, on Monday evening, we went groceries shopping and while in queue at the cashier...we were shocked to found out from the auntie queuing up behind us that the supermarket is now practising NO PLASTIC BAG day on Mondays...WHAT?!?!

and there we were with a shopping cart full of stuffs...

when it got to our turn...it was a good thing they asked whether we need a cardboard box to put all our stuffs...so ok, cardboard box sounds good at least we dont have to spend rm3 to buy the bag

and i had to carry my half dozen of eggs bcos i worried that it might fall out of the box

so how do you think i looked cradling half a dozen of eggs like a baby to the car?

Accident Prone me

Can't believe i m such a big klutz!

yes i got my finger cut AGAIN...

and you just wouldnt believe how i got it cut this time...you know the metal thingy u use to "kiap" things?

well, i was in the office cafeteria one fine afternoon trying to put some kueh into a plastic bag and my finger somehow got trapped in between the metal edges of its handle =_="

it's almost absurd how much blood that cut produced!

Filler post

Hi all *waves*

this is a filler post in between my langkawi trip part I and part II (if any 'x')

so today i was happily having Beard Papa's cream puff for bfast....it was yummy btw! its my first time tryign beard papa's :P anyway, we will leave that story for another day....

after my satisfying bfast of cream puff + milocafe (milo+nescafe 'x') i went to the toilet with a pleased smile on my face. so i opened the door to my usual toilet cubicle (yeah i already have a fav toilet cubicle in my new office 'x') and....................... THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someone lao sai and forgot to flush!!! HOLY COW AND THE COW'S GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPARENTS! can u imagine how disgusting it was???

i went to the next cubicle and tried to control the urge to purge out my cream puff THREE times!!!

grrrr!

My Latest Novel Obsession

Wowee...it has been several weeks since my last update! :D
I am really drowning in all the stuff i have to do before my relocation...in the first few weeks, there were so many things to do that i didnt bother starting 'x' simply bcos i didnt know where to start...hehehe

But now, i guess things are around 90% complete...i have yet to decide what i wanto bring over and what i should leave behind *gulp* and there's the annoying BE 2008 form to fill!! arghhh...30th of April is looming!

All those stuff coupled with the erratic behaviour of my internet connection is deterring me from sitting down and write a post on my blog! Anyhow, i did manage to indulge in some free time reading...hehehe....

It all started by watching the Twilight movie...hard-core fans of the novels claim that the movie was no good but i rather like the movie...so i reckoned the book should be even better! and so i bought the first book in the vampire-love saga...Twilight :)

And after reading the first one, i just had to get the next...New Moon....
and after that.... Eclipse...the third installation in the saga...hehehe

I m still looking for the 4th book but it seems that major bookstores in town claim that it is out of stock :(

Within just 3 weeks, i bought all 3 books and spent RM110+++ on the books and that's excluding the 4th book which costs around rm49.90...eeps...there goes my shopping allowance for the month 'x'

Disturbing Ad

I saw this advertisement on a public bus a few months ago and for some reason or another...i find it disturbing!!!

Can you see that?? Biscuits coming out of the cow's tits! =_="

I know they are trying to say that the biscuits has real milk goodness and therefore, the cartoon used in the advertisement. Is it just me or have i just lose my sense of humor? Go figure...

Lost Doggie

It was raining quite heavily at around 6.30pm last Friday...and i was at the airport sending someone off...

So i parked my car...and as i got out, someone startled me abit. Actually it was as if he was waiting by my door for me to get out =\

ya very blur i know...but my one hand was holding the umbrella and my other hand was holding my handphone trying to take this pic

He looked very pitiful and cold under the heavy rain and he just squinted at me thru the pouring rain. I didnt knwo what to do with him lar...cos i was hurrying to walk to the airport building

So i called him doggie...and he walked a few steps following me! And stopped n looked at me...

I called him again..and he walked another 3 steps...this went on a few times

so i was trying to shield him from the pouring rain by sharing my umbrella with him until a car drove past and the people in it was like staring at me for sharing my umbrella with a dog! =_=

So i had to leave him alone there under the pouring rain, bcos i was pressed for time u see

The poor lost doggie...i hope u r alrite...LOL

Colorful Jelly Balls

After 2 weeks of silence...i am back!!!

My monitor kong-ed off 2 weeks ago and that should explain my lack of post...hehe...

Its those small round pellets which absorbs water when you soak them and they grow n grow into big squishy jelly marbles! =)

i like to squish n play around with them...wahaha

Back to School

Today being the first day of the new school year... i bet there were many school children crying their heads off this morning after the 1.5 mth long school break

i dont blame them...in fact, i feel the same way...i will have to go back to work tomorrow after my long christmas and new year break :(((((((((((((((

i feel all the symptoms...sore throat...dizziness...i wonder if its the attack of laziness or i m really sick? hehe...

anyway, life still have to go on and money has to be earned! but i wouldnt mind sitting around at home and waking up at 9am for another few weeks 'x'

It's a love hate relationship

As most of you would have known by now... i have this love hate thing going on with my Streamyx connection...sometimes i love it but most of the times sadly...i have problems with the connectivity.

Things got worst the past 2 months and the worst of the worst being the month of november where i was totally unable to connect! I think i must be the world's biggest dunce for not doing anything...yes i did called up the support center but their technician only came when no one was at home and to tell the truth, i dont really have faith in them...

so i decided to cut off my streamyx and to sign up for the celcom broadband...and my procrastinating got the better of me and i delayed the unsubscribing part up till now....i decided once and for all....I M GOING TO DISCONNECT MY STREAMYX CONNECTION TOMORROW MORNING!!!

very determined already!

so i reached home just now...

turned on my pc...

and just by chance glanced at my modem for a while....

and lo and behold...the DSL light which has been blinking non stop like the lights on my christmas tree for the past 1 month is now STABLE!

WTF....i turned on my browser...and I see the Google page staring straight back at me...and so here i am blogging! How like that??? it's like my internet connection is begging me not to disconnect it 'x' or i could be going crazy...HELP!!!!

Look at the speed!!! omg...i really dont know what to say...i think i will give streamyx another chance 'x'

Not Money Ka??

This is yet another no-pictures post cos im still blogging from the office...

need to post something quick before i go back to work...hehehe

just now during lunch break we went to a nearby supermarket to buy some snacks for 8-5, so i took out 3 RM1 notes which i've gotten from the chicken rice stall tauke in change when i paid for my lunch earlier on...

and i didnt notice that one of the RM1 note was slightly bluish in color ...and the cashier made a face at my RM1 and asked her colleague...INI ADA HIJAU BOLEH KA?

The colleague made another face and said TIDAK BOLEH...

and she returned it to me saying SORRY ...

i was about to retort with something smart but nothing came out of my mouth...actually what i wanted to say was... THIS IS NOT MONEY???

i really dont understand what is wrong with accepting a note that is slightly discolored! if the chicken rice tauke can pay me with it, it means it can still be used lah! so who will compensate me for the discolored notes?? no one!

and this is not the first time those good for nothing,sour faced cashiers at supermarkets have rejected my money...if i use it to pay to the kolo mee apek he also accept wat!

Friday

It is now 4.04pm on a Friday afternoon and for the past 2 hours or so, all network lines in the company was DOWN...

everything down EXCEPT for the internet!

isnt that an irony? hehehe...i think the company is trying to tell us to surf more =x

being a software developer, without any network connections it is quite impossible for us to work as we cant connect to the server and hence we cannot do any testing or any running...honest! :P

in fact, i was surfing too much for the past one hour i was feelng a little bored of surfing already...hehehehe...

so here's wishing u a wonderful weekend till i get my internet connection back again...

yeah u guessed rite...i m stil internet-less (at home lah i mean)

Lazy Week

The longer i m deprived from the internet, the more i realized there's a lot more things to do apart from going online...hah!

Maybe i dont need an internet connection after all...LOL

Maybe its all part of the bigger scheme of things...the gahmen wants to stop youngsters from spending most of their time online and therefore they are introducing this crappy broadband service called Streamyx which will disconnect every once a while up to a point where the pissed off customers will stop using it altogether and hey! you dont need internet to live!

Melamine is Everywhere!

In the hype of the discovery of the melanine-tainted milk, more and more foodstuff are being discovered with melamine...candies, chocolate and even dog food are now being checked for melamine...

The thing i dont understand is, we have been eating the white rabbit candy for so long but *touch wood* we never had any problem...why now?

Internet connection at home is still not working...i really wonder why!! It has been up to the 4th day now and i am beginning to get VERY frustrated!!! arghhh...

salvation came in the form of Java Juices...enabling me to blog rite now with their free WiFi :(

hehe this is the first time i m doing live blogging...drinking the pink pink Dragon Fruit Juice (1 jug at RM6.90)

while eating their new Boneless Fried Chicken (RM8 ONLY!)

one whole de-boned drumstick with super super crispy skin...

its so crispy...it almost reminds me of roasted suckling pig...and its only RM8!! have i said that already? heh...

i always love to hang out at Java Juices....cheap drinks,cheap food and best of all free WiFi!

The Cheapo Thingamajig

arghh...my home pc has failed on me after several weeks of erratic behaviour...i knew it was coming but yet i was unprepared ...heh

thank goodness for my office laptop or i would have to let go of the $6.50 post down there...heh heh...

this is gonna be a long overdue and short post cos i have been typing sitting on the floor for the past half an hour and my neck is killing me...

bought a cheapo toy...

i dont know what you call these...its battery operated and you have to move the little metal pen thingy from the beginning of the maze till the end without touching the metal sides. if you touched it, it will buzzz and you lose!

hehe...cheap entertainment! but i have not played it yet...perhaps now is a good time since i dont have my pc to entertain me!!! sobs!!!

Sarawak Blackout 090808

The time was 6.45pm...i was busy preparing for my saturday night out and then ..POOF!

all the lights went out...so its ok...hurriedly put on my makeup in the dark =_= and rushed out cos the house was HOT!!!

and see what greeted us on the road...

total blackout ...traffic lights out...traffic in chaos...

so we thought if we got out of the area there will be electricity downtown...i smsed a reliable source who's near down town and she confirmed with me that there was no electricty there too!

drove further down...the sky getting darker...

still no light found!!! smsed another reliable source from miri and he confirmed with me that miri is also experiencing the blackout...tsk tsk...

except for a certain mr big shot ...

his house was fullly lit

anyway...went back home to have dinner cos we didnt trust any eatery to cook proper food in total darkness

and i ended up finishing Loco Roco on someone's psp :)

in total darkness...

after i finished...i was almost blind

p/s the electricity came back after 2 hours...WHAT THE F! the blackout practically MURDERED my saturday night...i want a refund!!! can ah?
