Wohohoho...as some of you might have known...i was searching for bak zhang high and low 3 days ago...
dont u think it is rather absurd for me not being able to find bak zhang in this place they call Food Heaven? LOL

I don't know whether i was blind or they just started selling bak zhang...but i finally found 2 stalls selling em at some nearby shops...duhh

imagine my excitement!

we bought 2 from each stall...wahahaha..

Shopping for a new outfit!

Since the mushrooming of so many online boutiques, i have been hopelessly addicted to online shopping. Just to imagine that few years back, online shopping seemed like a futuristic and far away thing. Apart from the convenience of being able to shop straight from your house in front of your computer, most items sold online are also sold cheaper. It is no wonder we girls fall head over heels in love with online shopping.

Filler post

Hi all *waves*

this is a filler post in between my langkawi trip part I and part II (if any 'x')

so today i was happily having Beard Papa's cream puff for bfast....it was yummy btw! its my first time tryign beard papa's :P anyway, we will leave that story for another day....

after my satisfying bfast of cream puff + milocafe (milo+nescafe 'x') i went to the toilet with a pleased smile on my face. so i opened the door to my usual toilet cubicle (yeah i already have a fav toilet cubicle in my new office 'x') and....................... THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someone lao sai and forgot to flush!!! HOLY COW AND THE COW'S GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPARENTS! can u imagine how disgusting it was???

i went to the next cubicle and tried to control the urge to purge out my cream puff THREE times!!!

grrrr!

Langkawi Trip (Part I)

Took opportunity of the long weekend holiday to go to Langkawi last week! :) Silly me didnt know that Firefly has direct flights from Penang to Langkawi when i booked the ferry tickets online

I had my qualms about taking the ferry ride which takes around 2 hours 45 minutes but i brushed it aside telling myself that i have survived express boat rides to Sibu before and i was fine!

But on the morning of the trip itself , we were greeted with ominous clouds and rain :(

but still! i was positive! =)

yay...to and fro tickets costing rm115 per person!

upon stepping onto the ferry i felt giddy already...it could be just my mind playing tricks on me so i tried to remain positive...but as the ride started, and the wave rocked the ferry left right left right and occasionally up and down...ughh things didnt seem to look so good anymore

the rainy weather continued and the sea water was BLACK in color...
it was so scary that i didnt dare open my eyes for most part of the journey. to make matters worst, people left,right,front and behind were vomitting =_="

that's me but i didnt vomit...i was on the verge of doing so. nothing gets you going like the sight of people vomitting! haha. during the ride itself, we agreed that our first stop upon reaching Langkawi would be the langkawi airport to book firefly tickets for our return trip! LOL

so sakai i know..but i never see real life buffaloes before!

My New Company

So i started work in my new company last week. So far so good and i must really thank God that i m still able to find a job in this kind of economy turmoil

As with any change of job, there is of course the period of getting used to the new environment new colleagues new job scope

So far i m loving my new cubicle :)

everything is sparklingly brand new and my boss is treaeting me well (so far 'x')

first day lunch for all new hire :)

and i need some getting used to working in west msia .... there is certainly some differences

for one, i need to crack my head and looking up google map on finding the best route to go and come back from work...lol

but it is a new challenge for me :)

oh and i love the toilet in my new company....hahaha...clean n modern!
and also the cafeteria...i told some people its almost as good as a 3 star hotel buffet but i dont think they will believe me

they have heated plates and mugs u kno... and the spread of food they have for bfast,lunch and tea time is quite impressive for an office canteen :P

best of all, i can now buy yoghurt at either 70cents or 20cents for bfast/lunch :P

few days ago i had this ice cream for free with my rm1.50 lunch subsidy

and last week i used my lunch subsidy to buy these 2 cream rolls for our langkawi trip the next day...LOL

simple perks that makes me a happy employee....for now!

Two weeks in Penang, i must say drinks in coffee shop is definitely cheaper than Kuching. e.g. Teh c peng only rm1.20...cheap or not??

Home Cook Part I

Ok...i've been cooking dinners for the past 2 weeks or so and almost sliced off my finger by doing so LOL

let's see what i've been cooking...nothing complicated lar...just some thing to fill our tummies
ok this is today's dinner, spinach with abalone mushroom and belacan

and golden fried rice with sausage,minced meat and mixed veggies

not so golden hoh?golden bcos i mixed the rice with egg first b4 frying lo

and this was dono when's dinner...nasi briyani cooked straight from the rice cooker

using packet punya lah :P

ahh itu siew nyuk...imported from kuching...lol...heated with the rice cooker nya

brinjal in sweet soya sauce

cold tauhu with minced meat and chinese mushroom gravy on top

not bad rite??? 'x'

i have to figure out what to cook everyday...give me some ideas...quick...
i want something that can be done in 20 mins! :P

Capsule Toys!

I just go crazy over capsule toys machines...somehow the idea of not necessarily getting what you want when you put money into the machine really appeals to me....wahaha...

An Unfortunate Incident

As some of you might have known...i have been cooking dinner for the past 2 weeks...
quite fun and yet frustrating at times to cook....fun bcos i can experiment n cook only stuff i can eat...wahaha...frustrating bcos, i hv to think of what to cook everyday =_="

But last thursday, i was cutting up meat to marinade in the fridge for next day's dinner...i was washing the chopper and somehow i managed to slice my finger!!! ARGHHHHOWEEUEUEUEEUEEUEUOOOOOOOO

i can just feel the sharp sharp blade slicing my finger but my reflex is not fast enough to pull the blade away! silly right? but i think i can be such a klutz being a left handed handling all the sharp stuff and cooking...

alot of blood ooooooo...this one already wipe a FEW times but after i took this pic it continued to bleed :( to a point where i wondered whether anyone ever succumbed from a sliced finger 'x'

someone had to rush out to the nearest 7-11 to buy plaster for me....hehe...yes i managed to bring one whole carton of pill chi kit tek aun but forgot to buy plaster...for that, i m grateful to him!

heh...who wants chicken marinaded with my blood for dinner???

Dinner @ Breek's Gurney

ahem ahem...i do not blog from office lar...baru work 1 week, i dont dare to do that.........yet! 'x'
just in case you are wondering how come i have posts at 9am...its bcos i use scheduled post lar...too lazy to blog everyday....hehe

ok anyway....went to breek's at gurney place last Friday

I had chicken patte melted (RM14.90) which is chicken pattie with melted cheese on top and some green veggies and very special mashed potatoes

special bcos...it has a very distinct taste of garlic. as for the 2 long antenna thingy pointing out from my chicken...i dont know what it was....i ate the 2 of them thingy even tho i didnt know what it was..tasted like cheese to me *shrugs*

it was around 9pm when we had dinner cos we lost our way trying to find poslaju in lebuh victoria! i have banned poslaju...but the sad thing is no more online shopping for me?!?! i must find an alternative somehow...

and to reward ourselves...we had banana bread and butter pudding (RM7)

very nice!!! i give it 8.5/10! =)

warm and creamy with real banana and a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

banyak nice! i would go back to breek's for this but not for the main courses...hehe

My House

Due to popular demand, since so many people is asking me to show my new room here in Penang...i have decided to post the pictures of my room here...
