Still remember my 2nd purchase from StrawberryNET? Well, this is what's inside the purple package...

Pinkcotton's Guide to eBay Shopping

I think i can be considered a very late adopter of eBay shopping. When so many people around me have been bidding like crazy on eBay since time eternal, i'm a little embarrassed to say that i've only started like around 1 month ++ ago. Since, i've had a few friends asking me how do i bid on eBay and such (seems like i'm not the only newbie after all :D), i decided to write a brief guide on bidding on eBay.

OPI Drip Dry (my first purchase from ebay!) [Girly Review]

I always cannot sit still and do nothing after i finish painting my nails. While i'm waiting for my nails to dry, suddenly my forehead will itch or my fringe will poke into my eye...and i will be scratching or touching this and that and in the end i will end up with smudges and nicks on my nail polish :((( not cool

So i started looking around for some solution and found the OPI Drip Dry. I asked the local OPI spree-ers from lowyat.net and she quoted me RM36 for the 0.3oz bottle (not including local postage!). And that's where eBay comes in!

So there goes my paypal money but i just feel so glad that i'm able to buy these cosmetics with money earned thru my blog! Somehow, money earned this way feels like "free money" lol

NYX Round Lipstick Swatches

Ok,here's another girly post on makeup from me. I m beginning to feel that my blog is becoming very very mixed up with foodie posts, techie post and girly posts all together. But since these are my interests anyway, i feel that it is only right i post these in my blog rite? :) Well, guys out there pls bear with me when i post girly posts like this. Lol. its just that i've relied a lot on beauty bloggers out there for their swatches and reviews when i'm deciding on which NYX lipsticks or eyeshadows to buy, so i feel it is only right if i contribute back to the society.lol!

I bought most of these lipsticks from cherryculture.com. They cost USD1.75 each (excluding postage from US to Malaysia). So with postage and conversion they actually costs between RM13-RM14 per piece. Which is pretty cheap considering the quality.

But you could actually buy from some spree-ers in forums such as lowyat.net for a much lesser price since you could share postage with the other spreers. But then, receiving my parcel from US gives me so much satisfaction that sometimes i just went ahead and ordered directly from the website ..muahaha :D

Now i have 5 colors...

From left to right : Femme,Sierra,Fig,Tea Rose and Sunflower

And here are the swatches without flash :

From left to right : sunflower, tea roes, fig, sierra and femme.

I used to love Sierra very much because its a perfect nude color for the days when you dont want to appear too made up. But since i got Fig, this is my go-to lipstick most of the days :) It just suits my skintone and gives my lips a hint of pink.

But on the whole, these lipsticks provide very good color payback, and are not drying. If only the local drugstores here carries quality and cheap lipsticks like these T_T

Everyday Minerals

Recently i got hooked onto Everyday Minerals

You can get free sample kits if you pay for the postage which is around USD4++ which is still cheap after convertion since mineral makeup are usually costly

Each sample kit enables u to choose 3 types of foundation, 1 blusher and 1 concealer

I just love to see the small little plastic casing of minerals with different colors! hehe

Last week, my baby kabuki and eye kabuki brushes arrived

I rather like the brushes because it is so soft and it really does helps in even application...

i so love my Everyday Minerals! ^_^

My Ampoules

Few days ago i bought a set of ampoules from lowyat.net

For rm75, i get 3 boxes of ampoules (10 ampoules in each box) + free 2 vials + 2 masks and the seller even threw in another ampoule for me =)

if you are wondering what are ampoules they are little glass vials with concentrated serum or enzyme for your face

and the tricky thing about using em is...

breaking the glass vials to get to the liquid i find unnerving...

so i put the vial carefully in a plastic bag and break it inside

the first time was quite difficult but whn u get the hang of it, it could be quite easy

but i wasnt so lucky the first time :(

since there's no cap or cover for the glass vials, once it is broken i jsut used a piece of tissue to stuff the opening 'x'

but an opened vial should only be used for another 3 days cos it would get oxidized/contaminated after that...

ive tried the hydrating ampoule and i really like the feeling after using it lor...cos your face feels smooth and cool just like the after-feelings of a facial =)

we'll see whether its worth its money ok??

My First Bento Set

Made these this morning...

can see clearly or not???

nah close up...

this is supposed to be a bear shaped egg but the egg i used were too small, so no ears for mr bear here...kekeke

and my cute little no-ear rabbit :)

love the rabbit the best!

and i made tulip shaped sausages too

and my first bento set in a not-s0-bento container :(

pretty easy to make with the egg molds and weiner cutter taht i bought few weeks ago

the first time i tried to shape the eggs and sausages i werent successful bcos the trick is to put the egg upright in the mould before you close it and for the sausage, the thing is to shape it with the cutter B4 you cook/fry it...i did the other way round the first time =_=

bought these bento accessories from Little Bazaar , nice seller and efficient service...recommended! :)

these cute little bento sets are nice to make and a pleasure to eat...for those newly weds, wifies ah, can make these cute bento for your hubbies to bring to work since everythign is so expensive nowaday...hahahaha

and taking this opportunity to wish Yientau and Stef a happy happy wedding...and the beginning of a wonderful life together!

sekian! :)
