Wedding Dinner

As promised,here are some blurry pics of the wedding dinner that i attended on wednesday...

I took these with my handphone,thus, the blurry and dark pics cos i was in too much of a hurry to remember bringing my camera...hehe

Well well...it seems that most chinese wedding dinners have almost the same style and format...

Its as if, at some point of time some people came out and wrote a booklet on HOW TO ORGANISE A WEDDING DINNER...



For one,there's always shark's fin soup...



I've told PEOPLE that shark's fin soup should be prohibited at wedding dinners...cos sharks are fast becoming extinct...

But then again, no shark's fin ... then people start to 'talk' behind your back....hehe..well,that's chinese for you :)

And the other thing is the almost obligatory session fooling around with the couple who just got married...

I dont know why..but why must the friends of the married couple always try to get back on their friends by asking them to do this n that on their wedding dinners?hmmm...

And ALMOST ALWAYS...one of the tricks being played on them would involve KISSING ...and for an extended period of time...no ..they dont want just a simple peck on the cheek or on the mouth...they want it be few minutes long...

Weird la...then the married couple would have no choice but to kiss in front of their grandpas,grandmas,daddy,mummy,sisters,...
brothers,auntie,uncles,boss,colleague..............

And then hor...even tho they r supposed to be kissing for an extended period of time, most of them would be standing there, locking lips without moving ...AT ALL...kekeke...

Quite funny to see them tho ...WAHAHAH 'x'

And the other thing im sure most of you would have seen at wedding dinners is the infamous KARAOKE SESSION...



A tv linked up to a karaoke system will be set up and guests wishing to dedicate songs to the wedding couple ....or rather saving money to go to a KTV would try to 'entertain' guests with their singing...mwehehehe

But as you can imagine la...how many Wang Li Homs or Keith Urbans are there in Kuching??? Well you can imagine how is the quality of their singing... but then again, we really should give them credits for the guts to stand up on stage and sing the song...

But i was wondering, what if someone came up and sang songs like YOUR CHEATING HEART....or TO ALL THE GALS I'VE LOVED BEFORE??

heee...that would be hillarious .... i sure hope i would see someone singing songs of the like at a wedding dinner nxt time....

Am always in a lovey dovey mood after a wedding dinner...MUAHAHAHA

meant to post this up before 12 so that it will still be my halloween post...but blogger has failed on me until now!!!!

Hee...since its All Souls Day on the 2nd of nov...catholics and christians (i suppose?) visit graves of relatives and friends to light candles...

I suggested to take a night walk throught the pathway which leads all the way around the cemetery but someone was against the idea :((

Its a perfect way to spend halloween mah rite?LOL

Hey...if you see anything else besides from the one ive circled in the pic above...pls don tell meeeeeeeeee..AIYERRR ..scared now :S

So after that...i had to follow him on a last minute boys nite out ...MUUUUUUU

I guess sometimes you have to make sacrifices lor....he becomes the stupid person who didnt say much at your outings and you sometimes have to become the stupid-gal-who-forgot-to-bring-your-mouth for the nite at his outings...HAH! :D

And when we reached the place...we were greeted with this!!!!!



Yeah....empty plates!! YIPPEE YAY!

So we ordered drinks lo...

As i was about to wallow in self pity and drink my crysanthemum tea in TOTAL silence....



The waitress gave us ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =))))))

Not bad huh??? Order one cup of measly drink ....they give free ice cream!! WOOHOO!!

Tho the scoop is small la...i finished it in 3 mouthfuls 'x'

As we were about to walk to our cars....we saw 2 guys standing right across the entrance to the restaurant taking pics of the entrance...

He told me...HEY LOOK..BLOGGERS...

So yeah they r bloggers! I mean who else in their right mind would be standing across the road taking pics of a restaurant's entrance????

So its so ez to spot bloggers nowadays... i just have to use my handphone to take pics now on :P

A Day In the Life of a Pink Cottony Thingy

Dear bloggie,

It is monday AGAIN!...i woke up un-enthusiastically as usual ...

but this monday was EXTRA unenthusiastic since i could not sleep until quite late last nite...

hmm why cant i sleep? i dont know le, its so weird...but i mostly couldnt sleep on a sunday nite....just like how i couldnt sleep the nite before a new school year began last time :)

10 mins in the bathroom is all i could afford in order to reach office on time!

and another 10 mins for dressing up...boy, am i fast! =)

and after that,its another 25 mins of being stuck in traffic! imagine me spending more time transporting myself to my office than getting ready for it...tsk tsk tsk...

reached office 8 minutes after the official working hours start....NOOOOOO....i broke the record today! :(

and its time for another boring work week ... chk emails .... and DARN IT! my mailbox is almost always full on a monday morning cos some people keep on forwarding big fwd mails to me during the weekends...grrrrrr...

delete delte delete...read read read....and poured myself some tea to go with my cream crackers....la la la la ..and ZING! its 12.45pm!!!

Out to lunch i go....with him ;)

Eat eat eat... and suddenly realised that OMG!!! ITS THE 31ST OF OCTOBER 2MORO!!

No i dont mean halloween...tho it REALLY is halloween 2moro...but its worst than that!!!!

My driving license is expiring 2moro! BOOHOOOHOOO...

started running around in circles...what to do ?? what to do?? my due date is coming nearer and nearer and that would only mean one thing, i'll have to take some time off to renew my license at the nearest post office :(

rushed back to the office without even having the time to take a drink of water after the salty fish finger rice...and rushed out again ...

muuuuuuuu...peak hour at 1.45pm ...jam here n there.... got dust in my eyes and made them red and watery...and FUHH! reached the post office at last! =)

but there was NO parking space!!! boy oh boy...had to break the law for a bit and parked at the roadside...MUAHAHAH..even tho there's a police station just few metres away....MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Chuckled to myself for reaching there at 2pm sharp...and when i opened the big glass doors of the post office....JENG~~....there was a queue of about 40 people...zig zagging around the whole area....!



gheeez...so have to queue up lor!...

After few minutes of queueing....there came an UNCLE...who walked casually to the middle of the queue and just started his queue there...

Everyone looked at each other...but none said anything...

Then came another stupid uncle who came right behind the first uncle.....BLAHDI HELL!

I almost took out my handphone to take a pic of the uncle's big butt...but then again...nahh better not...

Being the typical malaysian...no one dared to say anything..KIA SU mah ... untilllllllllll..salvation came in the form of the guy in front of me....

He turned back n told the uncle nicely...UNCLE,THE QUEUE STARTS RIGHT BEHIND THERE...

The uncle smiled sheepishly and said YA KA??OK OK ...

MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHA
EAT SHID,U QUEUE CUTTING UNCLE!

I was laughing to myself....WAHAHAHA so happy! and so grateful to the guy in front of me! MUAKS I LAP U! WHOEVER YOU ARE

Queue Queue Queue...can you believe that they didnt even provide seats for us??? hmm...i was almost crawling on the floor by the time my turn came...

And oh!...i wanted to say what a small small world it is! =)

I saw a lady who looked very familiar queueing up behind me...and thought thought and OH! finally realised she worked in the saloon i used to go to....

But i wasnt in a talking mood and pretended not to recognise her! LOL

Queue sumore..and i saw a black figure walking into the post office....WHY! its my ex-lecturer...

He looked at me and i looked at him...and i quickly looked away...

I wasnt ready to be calling him...and have him asking me ERRR YOU ARE.....and me saying HEY U DONT REMEMBER ME MEH?? IM [NAME] FROM BLABLABLA COURSE..

no no ...theres around 50 kei po people all around....just cannot afford to do that..muahaha

When my turn came...WOOHOO i was grateful...pay my money and off i go!!! Yippee...

Back to the office 1 hour later than the usual lunch break :)))))

But by the time i was in the office, i was red in the face and too tired to be thinking of work...WAHAHAHA...

By the time i finally managed to get myself into a working mood..it was already 4pm...! WOOHOO! almsot time to go home and to type my very first journal in my blog!

YUP! my very first journal! .... and i hope you all enjoyed it...cos it might be the first and last time i record personal events of the day here in my BLOG...HEE :D

HEE...i remember i used to love these chocolates very much...mainly because its delicious,affordable and i can indulge in chocolates without feeling TOO guilty due to its mini size..muaahahaha...



My mom would always buy a box of these chocolates home for me whenever there's an exam approaching...hee....

The reason??? acc. to my mom its to cheer me up during those bleak times before a big exam...but then again, i think my mom is just worried that i might go crazy during those hectic exam preparation week ...MUAHAHAHA

Am I Weird?

Boohoohoo, sometimes it makes me wonder what have i done to deserve all these :P

Am supposed to reveal 9 weird facts about myself....am not sure which are considered weird and which arent...so i'll just list them all out and you tell me! =)

• I think most of you would have known this already, i do not like to see dirty coins in front of me while i'm eating ... hee :D i might just puke right in front of you if you are lucky enough 'x'
• I think those green green fungus-thingy (long term spec wearer would understand) which tend to grow on old spectacles are REVOLTING!!! i would just puke if u let me see them near me when im eating..muahahaha
• Skip more than walk ( I DO NOT!)
• I can think much more effectively while im in the toilet or the bathroom..! HAHAHA...this is weird...but if u ask some PEOPLE, she would tell you that more often than not, i would return from the bathroom with a certain theory about something. This is to the extent that PEOPLE asked me to move my desk to the toilet :(
• I develop an almost immediate HATE towards people who cannot pronounce my name correctly!!!! Agrrrrrrr...
• I develop an almost immediate liking towards people who pronounce my name beautifully :)
• I hate it when people asks me to speak louder on the phone when i've already been speaking as loud as i could in a quiet office...CANT HEAR ISIT???? GET A HEARING AID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'x'
• I love everything PINK except for hello kitty,the mouthless cat
• I have big ears...boohoohoooooooooooooo...i might be mickey mouse reincarnated..oops 'x'

Nowadays we are so modern la ...where got fall down from the wall and then all the king's soldiers come out to help him?

We use a spoon to crack open his head! See its stated in the instructions

After a knocking of a certain extent...



I managed to break open the thick head...

And its full of planting medium...

2nd step is to water it of cos...

and mr humpty dumpty is now left outside .... hoping that it will a miracle will happen and make it growwww back some hair if not its head...wahaha

i m actually taking a risk by blogging about this la...cos ... im afraid some people might remember something about *cough* a pink... *cough* well never mind...here's a hint ...

pls do not ask me abt the fate of the *cough* pink little thingy.... cos i refuse to answer any questions....WAHAHAHAH

4-in-1

Went to Pizza Hut to try out their new product on the menu...



The 4-toppings-in-1-pizza pizza =)

Apparently, it is for people who just cannot decide which flavor to order and so they've combined 4 flavors in one so that everyone can get the toppings that they prefer

However, it is of not much use to us since we ALWAYS order the SAME toppings whenever we visit Pizza Hut....ISLAND SUPREME..mwehehehe

But just try try ma ho?

The meal for 2 person came with 2 glasses of orange,2 bowls of soup of the day,4 breadstick...

Pizza hut is sort of having a promotion on the breadstix...instead of cheese breadstix..we now have GARLIC BREADSTICK




Personally, i prefer this garlic breadstick over the original breadstick...mmm the garlic butter smells soooooooo good =)

And the meal also came with criss-cut fries...



Yawn this post is getting to be so boring...

But i m out of ideas to blog about...boooooo...

Since i've already took some photos of these, i might as well polish up my food-reviewing skills..WAHAHAHA

At first we thought we could choose any 4 toppings for our pizza but it seems that the 4 toppings have been fixed :(

I wonder what's the point of putting 4 toppings in 1 pizza when we cant choose toppings of our prefernece...hai....blame it on marketing gimmicks

The 4 toppings are:satay supreme,masala chicken,hawaiian chicken and island supreme




For the first time ever....i see a SQUARE pizza..kekeke

1/4 of the pizza for each topping...

First, we tried the masala chicken...nothing extraordinary...i would say it tasted weird...MUAHAHAHA..i just cannot accept a spicy pizza.. mmm...

Same goes for satay supreme...

It came with chick peas...



UNBELIEVABLE!

The kind of things they put on pizzas...hari raya is just around the corner so they put chick peas..so if chinese new year is around the corner they put bak-gua (bbq pork) on pizzas lo???

I think the 4 toppings pizza is so so la..but still we preferred the ISLAND SUPREME SECTION...

So its sort of pointless for us to order this pizza...since we do not fight over which toppings to order anyway *lovey dovey* mUAHAAHAH

After unwrapping the peanut candies...i found that my fingers were stained...



Cant reallly see from this pic...but the palm of my hands and my fingers were all RED!!!

HEHEHE...you know? my mom used to tell me that in the olden days,china ladies use these red papers as LIPSTICK!...just press the red paper against your lips and you have lipstick..mweheheheeh...

Ok...so i received a very cute email and i start forwarding it out to people...

And i even made a personal remark to someone that this pic is just SO CUTE...and she just replied...YEAH THE DOG LOOKS LIKE U

Altho i was half amused and half shocked to hear that remark...it was then that i realised..................PEOPLE ALMOST ALWAYS RELATE FUNNY/SILLY ANIMALS to me!
