Inspired by Dr Chen's very hiao cockles post ... i have decided to do a sequel to that post...ROF...

May i present to you...the Kuching Cockles...

somehow i always felt like 'kacau-ing' the cockles when they half open enticingly like that

u kno whats the best way to do that???
heheheeh i poke a knife into the shell thru the opening and once they sensed that something is touching them...they will immediately clam up (pun intended)

so if the knife's in there they wont be able to full close up...WAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!...

oh..am i the only one who find that funny?ahem...ok anyway...enjoy the COCKLES!

A Girl's Worst Enemy

I have been thinking hard about getting this little monstrous thing for a while now...until last night when i finally made the decision to just go ahead and buy it!

No looking back now...the little monster is sitting right under my bed and i hope we would be best of friends soon...

Glenn Beck

Have you heard of Glenn Beck? He used to be a radio DJ and now he is set to be the next phenomenon of talk radio! Visit his website and you might understand why is he so popular. I see him as someone who is witty, knowledgeable and humorous! Come on, it needs lots of humor to be able to dedicate a section on his website for his hate mails. Read it up, its hilarious!

He talks about a variety of topics like politics, current events, family and relationships and even on religion. I think might hate him for his honesty but that's what i like about him. Glenn Beck is currently performing a summer political comedy tour and will be having a one night comedy show in Dallas which will be broadcasted live to selected movie theaters on July 17th!

Taman Bukan Sahabat

One day after work, we decided to take a quick stroll around the neighbourhood to burn off some unwanted fat and we saw this beautiful double rainbows...

so walking senselessly around the neighbourhood we ended up at the nearby shop to buy ice cream...

so much for exercising! =_=

and while walking back, we had to walk pass this small little neighbourhood park...

now, everyone knows about the famous Friendship Park (Taman Sahabat) that was jointly set up by the China & Malaysian government rite?

but look at what we have in our neighbourhood...

LOL! sorry i m not so good in giving "the look" but that's the best i could come up with.

Bento Hijau

Hehehe ...another Green Bento day in the office

it is really sort of 'pampering' to be having lunch delivered right to your doorstep but this could be our last time ordering green bento since they have increased their price :(

at RM8 per sandwich...i think it would be more viable to be bringing in lunch from home or just go out for RM2.80 kolo mee...hmm...

Roast Beef Sandwich (RM8.50)

comes with potato chips (i love those paper thin crispy potato chips!) and for the month of June/July, every sandwich order comes with a free side order!

Fish fillet sandwich (RM7.50)

for sandwiches you could choose panini/french/wholemeal or normal bread...

this is my roast chicken whole meal sandwich (RM8)

Not-so-junk-food at The Junk

Went to The Junk for dinner on Saturday...

Living up to its name...The Junk is decorated with all sorts of err...Junk !

all sorts of knick knacks...

In fact, when Anthony Bourdain the famous food critic was in Kuching he was here......in.this.very.restaurant!

As appetizer...we had calamari mango salad...

a salad of big generous chunks of mango, big generous portions of calamari rings and of cos some good green leafy veggies that are bound to make your productivity increase in the toilet the nxt day :D

it was too big a plate as an appetizer for two that i was actually quite full by the time we finished HALF of it....

and when my Salmon Steak (RM32) came and i saw the size of it...

oh noooooooo...

i dont know why they always like to use such big plates...in fact, the plate is as big as those plate where those chinese restaurants put their cold cut dish

the salmon came in a very big chunk...topped with mushrooms and teriyaki sauce and comes with a generous helping of green salad (not salad again!!)

he had the Fisherman's Basket (RM38)

it did not come in a basket...but i think its bcos they cant find a big enough basket to fit in all that. :D

it is so big...i had to take 2 pics just to show u everything on the plate

what do i have to say about this ...too much fries,too much calamari and too much soft shell crab and some prawns...i think its enough for 3 person lah!!!

and isn't it ironic? FISHERMAN's basket with only calamari rings,soft shell crabs and..errr..that's it! where's the FISH as in FISHerman's basket?

by the end of the dinner...we were sooooooo full even tho we did not completely finish any of the dishes...hmm....

and guess how much we paid for this dinner???

heh heh...

would you believe..............RM4.50???

Yes we really DID pay only RM4.50 for it all....because we had a RM100 coupon...oh joy oh happy bliss...that is the cheapest dinner we ever had :)

p/s if u r too lazy to do some math ...the dinner totalled to RM104.50 lah!

Bloody Toe

Yesterday i was at Kenyalang browsing around for shoes while someone was away doing his usual stuff (looking at PC games...what else?)

So i saw a pile of shoes on offer at only RM10 per pair...and me being the curious shopper tried on a pair...

when i put my feet into the left side of the shoe...i felt a sharp pain so i quickly took off the shoe and looked inside it...

there was a small little staple like thing pointing out from the sole of the shoe...i looked at my feet and it seemed ok so i continued to browse around and after a minute or two i looked down and was horrified to see a bloody toe :(

i limped to him and showed him my bloody toe :(

and he asked me to show him the pair of shoe, i pointed it to him and he roughly took it and looked inside and saw the staple thingy... the sales assistant was looking at us all these while

and he put the pair of shoe messily down and brought me home to wash my bloody feet...

and it was only when we were in the car that i asked him how come he did not tell the sales assistant off when he roughly took up the shoe and put it down again...bummer...

we regretted not doing so!! grrr...what kind of shop lets their customer try on shoes like that no matter how cheap it is!!!

my toe.........!!! my poor little toe!!!... sobs

Mini Toys

Bought another set of Japanese miniature toys and this time its...

heh...a mini toy room set :P

msot of all...i love the piece of mini jigsaw carpet...

looks very real with real carpet-ty texture

but i m starting to wonder where should i keep all these...

i buy them...rip the box open eagerly...take out the pieces one by one...put them all together....take pics...admire the minute details on each pieces and into the box they go until i dont know when...hmm

Money!!!

Writing paid posts has finally paid off!

I managed to sell off $65 worth of USD in exchange for RM last Friday...

I opt to sell off my paypal funds in order to get RM in return...or else, paypal money is pretty much useless to me :(

So...who wants paypal funds??? :P

and just now...i got this in the mail!

Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

hehehe...finally manage to find 250g cream cheese on Saturday and so i managed to bake a chocolate swirl cheesecake :P

i think it doesnt look very "photogenic" 'x'
but i think it taste quite alright??

the marbley effect wasnt that nice...but its my first attempt =)

i promise i will try harder nxt time...bleks :P

not bad eh??managed to bake 3 types of cakes in 3 weekends ...hehe

Shanghai Renjia

Have been told of the existence of a Shanghai Dimsum place near Bormill care (behind The Two Bananas somewhere round Jln Ahmad Zaidi Adruce)...but never been there, until today!

sorry,the name was much too long to fit into one photo...HAHA..pls join it together 'x'

the place was nice and quiet and clean...with a very oriental interior with chinese instrumental music playing in the background...

i heard it is owned by a lady from China and sure enough there was a lady talking with a Chinese accent taking our orders...

she recommended their special coffee...she said it was from.........er....from.....i didnt quite catch the name ...

but it was frothy and creamy and thick...good for coffee lovers!

and she also recommened fried pork dumplings...

8 pieces for around RM6.50? not too sure 'x'

but it sure is good...

look at the wonderful PORK!...pork is good for you! sorry this post is non halal!

and also..the creamy sweet buns...

nice poinky white skin...

it was ok...but not excellent if you get wht i mean...it taste a lot like creamy butter to me...

all 3 dim sum was only around RM12.50...cheap i must say for good quality dim sum! apart from dim sum, they also have few types of noodles on the menu which we did not try.

overall...good food, great service... i m sure going back there again!

The Cisco certification system has been the most widely known networking certification for as long as i know. The certification system is designed in away that allows you to take four paths in your career which is :entry,associate,professional and expert. On top of these 4 paths, you could also go into specialization fields such as wireless and telephony.

If you are what they call the "network guy" getting a Cisco certification is bound to gain you

Not another Monday!

Well well well...if its not another Sunday and with it comes Monday. Where did the weekends go??? It feels only like yesterday that I came back from work grinning happily from ear to ear on a Friday evening. I guess time really flies when you are enjoying yourself.

Sorry, no pics to blog about today as i had planned to bake a chocolate swirl cheesecake today but i went to 2 supermarkets and were unable to find a 250g cream cheese!!! its absurd!

It is raining heavily now, hope i can sleep well tonite. Cos i always have problems falling asleep on Sunday nights. I think it goes back to the school days when i always have difficulty falling asleep on Sunday nights before the start of a new school week. I dont know why it happens back then and i still dont know why i cannot sleep on Sunday nights now
