A friend of ours in college passed away...we were shocked!
As far as we know, he was a healthy person doing quite well in life. Little did anyone know that he was facing a problem so big that he had taken his own life.
The fact that he took his own life shocked us even more! That is the worst thing any living being could do to themself.
I dont think there is any problem that is too big that it cant be solved. And it should be a thought that should never cross over our minds no matter how big a problem we are facing.
This made me realised an email on suicide i received 3 years ago. It was a very good email and it was lucky i still kept it (thanks to the unlimited storage space of yahoo! mail ). As i found the mail just now...i looked through the mailing list...trying to see whether this dear friend was in it...but unfortunately no =\
So ... i m going to post it up here...so that anyone who DOES search for anything related to suicide might come across this post...read on...

I saw the known loving couple in 10F hitting each other...
The people that i saw just now are looking at me now...

sigh... suicide... happens too often where i am. saw an attempted one the other day
Suicide is a bad ride. Never the answer. Always look up to God for help and you will see there is a better way.
A suggestion:
Ask an insurance agent to tell you the stories of unfortunate people...
i can understand how some may feel that there's less pain in dying. living is pure hell for these people. :(
hope they remember to seek God at that point. cos help will always come.

The thing I can say is be strong and always try to solve problem and believe in oneself for there should never a problem that cannot be solved, just a solution that we may not want
Aih... What to do? Really don't know how? Even those very close to me had attempted suicides(cutting ownself, use gas) and one die(jumping from a hotel) from suicide.

so sorry to hear about your friend. it's a real pity that some people seem to think the only way out is to take their own lives... :(

oh ya i remember i received this forwarded mail b4 too....
i agree..nothing canot be solved..dont have to take our own lives away..
there are a lot of ppl have done very big mistake in their lives..ie killed someone in an accident etc..and they choose to live and face the music..coz suicide wont do you any better.

Last year a friend of mine committed suicide.She was diagnosed with some incurable illness and in the end,she was so desperate that instead of waiting for death to slowly come and get her,she chose to take her life away... :\
It's always a shock to hear abt suicide... and when it happens to people we know,it makes us ponder even more...
it would be very shocking if it is among our friends. may ur friend rest in peace!
