Spring Time is Here!

The Spring is finally open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have been waiting and waiting for this day for almost a year i guess??? the jam was sooooooooooooooo long on its opening day (Thursday) and i really really wanna go cos i wanto claim my RM20 parkson gift voucher...hehehe...had to park at the shoplots opposite cos the queue into the basement carpark was much too long!

The spring here i come!!!! so excited!

i almost kissed the floor i walked upon...

u cant blame me u kno??? all those years...we Kuchingites had to pay air tickets to fly to KL just to get brand names like Padini,Esprit,Guess... just to name a few and to eat at places like Sushi King, Manhattan Fish Market...but now!!...now!!!....we have it all right here in Kuching!!!!

omg!!!..it felt so surreal!...hehehe...we were all saying perhaps we wouldnt have to fly to KL for our shopping nxt time ... dont know lah...

i love the interior...

i love the decor...

i love the shops...

and as i type...i wish i was in the spring...kekekeke

now there goes my bonus for this year and next year and the year after next.............its a girl's paradise and a guy's nightmare!!!...

girls, lets dump the guys at home and lets go shopping!!! =)

I smell a Rat!

When i got into my car after work yesterday...i smelt something unpleasant...
i endured the smell throughout the whole journey from my office to my home

and the first thing i did when i drove into my driveway was to get out and check every nook and cranny...my initial suspect was there could be a dead lizard in my car lor...or maybe someone accidentally dropped a piece of smelly tofu in my car

i flip over all the mats and sniffed and sniffed....nope no lizards or tofu

as i was just about to give up...i thought of looking underneath my car and lo and behold!!!!!! i saw something long,thin and black hanging out from under my car....next thing to do??? SHRIEKKKKKKKK

The Crime Scene

did you know how my dad got the rat out??? he had to unscrew my mudguard and so on in order to get to the stupid rat!!!

and the smell OMG............................and the worst thing was...the rat was already maggot infested -_-""" and the worst worst thing was....the rat's tummy had already EXPLODED (if thats the right term for it)

cant blame me lar...cos i did not drive my car at all during the weekends...the rat might have already been there on friday night...heeeeeeeee...i dont know

armed with TWO cans of aerosol spray i sprayed and sprayed the area ... :(((

my poor car........ no longer a virgin 'x'

i now have a vengeance for rats too...its 2nd on the list after cockroaches...i m so gonna get a cat!!

My Nightmares Revisited

I was never Chinese educated...the ONE and ONLY chinese class i ever attended was during my kindy years where each chinese character i wrote was a big challenge for me...

so much so that by the end of my kindy years...me the 6 yr old girl told my mom that i DONT WANT to study in a chinese primary school...over my dead body!

my mom agreed maybe because i was a headache to tutor...wahahaha...somehow I just cannot make those chinese character strokes sink into my brain

last week...mr bf suggested taking mandarin night classes cos we r chinese after all...it is good to go back to your roots no? so i agreed ... 2nite was the first class

when we reached there...the place was full of white-haired uncles O_O!
its almost as if they were teachers pulled out from a chapter in my primary school life (17 years ago!!!!)

(we later learnt that they were retired school teachers)

and registered ourselves and paid for the registration fee.The uncle of a teacher pulled out a yellowish receipt book and wrote out our receipt...

doesn this look like a page torn out from your 20 yr old exercise book?!?!?!! i was like OMG when i saw the receipt book...where did he find it??? the museum

and look at the dollar sign ($) the last time we used $ was like when??? 1990??? DOUBLE OMG!!!!

So we sat down and he asked us to jot down the chinese characters from the whiteboard and we have to like write it down many many many times...

like so...

hahahaahahah...as i write every painful strokes...the memory of me learning mandarin in my kindy years hit me one by one...the agony...the horror!!!!

and to think that i m stuck in this class not for 1 month...not 2 months..not even 3 months .... its for A YEAR!!! and its not even once a week or twice a week...its THRICE a week....!!!

I M SO DEAD!

the room is dark and air conditioned with man made barriers all around...and each player is equipped with a laser gun and a special vest which has laser sensors

there are several game scenarios which you can choose from :

and i must say it was FUN FUN FUN!!!...and good exercise too!

We went to look at our house again...and this time we found the access road....whoopee..now we can walk into the house instead of spying from afar...

Come on in...now don trip over the brick...

our house is still roofless :(

the purpose i m posting pictures on the house is so that we will remember how the house looked like before it was completed...so that 5 or 10 years from now .... i could log onto pinkcotton.blogspot.com (with trembly hands...or maybe not) and go...AHH THERE'S OUR HOUSE WITHOUT A ROOF LAST TIME...

My Christmassy Post

Hello there............i m back again after the Christmas feasts and parties and presents =)

I meant to put up some very christmassy post few days ago but hmmm i guess the present buying got me carried away...

lets see now...i was at the Travilion Christmas Tree thingy 4 days before Christmas just to take pictures of the tree....here it is...

Tis the season to go shopping...

Look what i did to my nails yesterday!! =)

french manicure! this is my first time doing it...i think not so bad for a first timer...heheeh

so now when i go shopping i can flaunt my digits like this...

have been so busy shopping for the past few days...
legs r tired...my brain is tired of thinking what to buy for who...
and my credit card n pockets also tired la..needless to say

so now i will need to have bread n water (maybe milk) for lunch for the next one month...

my shopping is around 90% complete already...10% consist of Mr Bf's pressie...hehe have to leave his for the last cos we were always out together when going christmas shopping mah.....so i hve one last day 2moro!

and now its pressie wrapping time...

i just love the colorful christmas theme wrapping papers....SO NICE!!!!
i just feel like getting all of them

so... armed with a pair of scissors,cellophane tape, penknife...i m ready to go a-wrapping!

When an old friend come online and the first thing that came to his mouth was ARE YOU PREGNANT ALREADY??? VERY unfunny to say that to a single lady

When someone's reply to you saying u dont like wearing perfume is...THATS WHY YOU ARE SMELLY...UNfunny...

When a friend stares at your eyes (with a disgusted look...or was i imagining it?) knowing very well you are wearing color lenses (its only brown for g'ness sake!) and when you asks him WHY? he gives a sarcastic laugh n said nothing....UNfunny

When someone says OH MY YOU SURE PUT ON SOME WEIGHT!!!! SOOOO UNFUNNY!!!

When someone purposely go to a close friend of yours to ask about some personal info about you when he/she could very well have come right up to you and asked you...UNFUNNY!! and rude too!

When the only single thing a person ever asks you everytime and i mean EVERYTIME he comes online is...WHEN ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED??? once is enough!!! UNfunny!!!

I dont get jokes like these....DO YOU??? or maybe its just me being humorless???

The Craze for those Solar Powered Thingy

It all started 4 years ago when i first bought one of those solar powered toys for Mr Bf ...

You know what im talking about dont you???those colorful big headed solar powered thingy that will move its head left-right or up down...

We fell in love with those right away...now we have in total 10! =)

Durian Feast

Just got back from a Liulian Durian Feast with my colleagues just now...

What's a durian feast you may ask???

Its where you buy lots n lots of durians!!!

hehehe and thats only part of it lor...can u imagine we spent RM180 on durians alone???

since its the birthday of our Durian Feast organizer 2moro...there was a cake for her to cut lar...

but hor...all our money has already been spent on durians...so can only afford to buy a cake like this for her ...hehehe

Once upon a time in Kuching...

Once upon a time in November...when the loktor was in town...we went to the Banquet to try the "famous" dim sum...so off we went!...dum de dum de dum...

MY KEYBOARD IS IRRITATING ME TO BITS!!!! ... need to press so hard wan!....

hmm so where was i ...oh the dim sums...yea....there was so many choices of dim sum printed on the menu but when the lady pushing the cart came to our table (with black face) i asked her whether she has this n that from the menu...

and she (still with a black face) said...WHAT I HAVE NOW I GIVE U LAR! THOSE I DON HAVE U ORDER ALSO USELESS!... (something along that line lah)

wahlau eh ... *TOOT* (sorry cannot scold..just went for Christmas confesssion last nite ^_^)

have been wanting to blog about the lousy service at the banquet for such a long time...finally got to do it...hehehe....but i must say the char siu pau nice wo...

the rest ....mediocre only lah!...

some more...so expensive...3 dim sums with one small pot of tea for 2 persons...totalled up toRM20...

after that we were still no full lor...it was supposed to be a lunch date after all mah...so we went to Song Kheng Hai food court...

this time someone joined us...

and we had this loverly kong pia with meat..

the best ive had in Kuching ............so far................

after that...still don wanto go back...

so went to Rhythm of Ice for some drinks

nice cool blue interior...but nothing special! *pfft*

3 places in one afternoon...are we good or what? =)

ok i know this prawn dish is unrelated but just wanto post it up here for me to savor during those "hungry" periods in the office...HAHAHAHA
