Another Rojak Post

Hi there...

again i have a few short little stuff to write about and i just have to jumble them up together in ONE post :)

Ok...first on the agenda is .... i saw a little scene that just brings me a little warm feeling in my heart :)

This....



Hee..saw this mama dog and baby dog by the roadside. They are strays. What really caught my eye is how happy they both are just with each other's companionship.

The mama was licking and giving the baby a bath while the little puppy was running around and around just playing with his mama :))

Ok...so yesterday i went to try out the rather new eatery opposite Star Cineplex.

It wasnt exactly newla, just that it was taken over by a new management so it has a new name, a new concept and of cos a new menu. Previously it was called the LIFE KOPITIAM.

I was introduced to Xuan Ye by my sister. She said it was OH SO GOOD and OH SO NICE

So i jus had to give it a try

The place has a kind of antique-chinese-coffee-shop feeling.





My sister ordered the Chinese Sausage with Chicken Rice.


The complimntary bowl of seaweed soup is NICE!


It came with a VERY big bowl of rice..no kidding




The rice was very fragrant. I could eat the rice by itself :P


I had lemon chicken noodle



This........... i have nothing much to say

I would say the taste is mediocre only la..

The lemon chicken is not crispy enough and the noodle which was supposed to be DRY was WET!! Cos the noodle wasnt drained properly after boiling

As a result...the scoop of coleslaw included with the dish was so watery and yuckies...

Ok .. enough about that

For dinner...

i had a lovely lovely meal at County Court

I just love this place!

Its the only place to go in Kuching if you wanna spend less than rm50 on a really satisfying chinese restaurant kinda dishes

We ordered a little too many dishes actually

We had BUTTER SQUID which i think is a MUST try if you were to eat at Country Court and Baby Kailan with Oyster Sauce



Just had to love this!!

YA YA ..so these are fattening...but its not a crime to treat my tummy to a feast now and then ma ...hehehe

See..i bought a ROACH TRAP





Its a little box like contraption with an adhesive surface

By adhesive... i mean REALLY ADHESIVE

I accidentally touched the adhesives and my hand was almost stuck...hee

So all i had to do was to pour this little packet of ROACH BAIT right into the middle part of the adhesive surface



See...you could see the small dots of bait in this pic... The yellow surface is the adhesive part lo..

I hate roaches and i think its time i destroy the whole colony of htem...MUAHAHAAHAH

muahaahahahahah die you cockroaches!!!

But so far no stupid roaches have yet to venture into my trap :(

Painful Lesson

Theres in fact another pic of the dog, but that one was a little bloody so i dont want to show it here...the POOR POOR DOG!!!

I think he wont even go near a cactus from now on :p

THE Creature Living In My House

There is a creature who cant be seen in my house at the daytime but it will emerge when the sun sets.

Sounds creepy isnt it?

Hehee...but its not something terrestrial or spritual...

Its just my cat! :)

Hahahaha...

My cat is the Queen of the House...i wonder why i have not blogged about her till now.

We can only see her back home if :

• Its raining
• Its dinner time
• Its night time
• There are dogs running loose around my neighbourhood
• She feels tired
• She wants some scratching around the ears

Yep...i guess that's about it!

The initial reason we brought her back was to catch RATS

Unfortunately, that's just what she NEVER does. She catches stuff...oh yes...but only lizards and cockroaches O_O

Tsk tsk tsk... gone are the days when cats cathes rats i tell you! Now, its my little toy dog who does that! HA!

But that is anotehr story altogether... we r here to talk about my cat remember?

We did not like go out and purposely look for a cat in the pet shop and buy one home..NO..

She was nature's gift! A 'gift' that followed my sister home one day...

My sister thought since the little kitten has been following her to her car...she might as well bring her back since my mom has been complaining about rats running around in our house compound.

So one day a little kitten joined our already quite huge family of dogs...oh boy!.. Was there a lot of going on between my dogs when the kitten came into our house

They were jumping and barking and howling! That's just natural isnt it? Dogs will be dogs...

We were never a CAT-PERSON....nop! We are DOG-PEOPLE...wahahhah...

So we were quite inexperienced when it comes to keeping a cat! I remember there was even a stage where we kept her on a leash for fear that she falls into a drain and injure herself on her daily romps...HAHAHAHAA

And the weird thing about this cat is ... i think she likes me!

Whenever i leave for work in the morning, i would see her running outside as i reversed my car out from the car porch.

According to my mom, she never sees her in the house for the rest of the day after that!

But when i come back home from work, i will again see her jumping in from outside and she will lie on the mat and purr and purr until i at least give her a little pat on the head! :)

I wish i could have more photos of her to show...but unfortunately, shes really a shy creature. She runs away whenever i take out my camera to take her pic :)

Random Musings

Hi There...

I have a few little short stuffs to blog about and since they are SHORT ... why not combine all of them into one post rite?

Then you wont have to scroll up and down to read it...hee!

Ok first up is...

How therapeutic it is to drive ALONE at NIGHT :)

Sometimes the reason i enjoy Friday nites is.............. well not bcos i could go out and party with my frens (which fri nites are supposed to be anyway :( ) but its bcos its the only nite where i get to have my own time on the road ... hehe

Cos i usually have choir practises on friday nites and its always enjoyable to drive home on a quiet and almost empty road with slow music on the radio....What can i say? Its the best way to unwind after a hectic week...a great way to start the weekends i say!

Ok talking about a hectic week...which brings me to the 2nd topic...

There is one thing my client cannot understand...

A Software application is there to make it easier to do your job...it is not there to help you NOT to do your job

See? Its such a simple thing,but after 2 years it has been fully confirmed that she doesnt understand that!

Imagine this...i will try to put this in a very un-I.T. manner as much as possible ^_^

Software A needs to retrieve some data from Software B. Software A and Software B are 2 separate applications which performs their own functions. Its just that they are related in some way, so we have linked up those 2 to make the lives of our users easier.

But NOOOOOOOOOO...User dont want that!

She wants Software B to be TOTALLY integrated with Software A so that they dont have to login to Software B AT ALL to do their work! She wants all the required data from Software B to be accessible from Software A without having to just open another IE window and login to Software B!

Grrrrrrrrrrr

Ok enough about that .. its the weekend and thinking about the #%#%&^ client is the last thing i wanna do ...heh!

Birthday Celebrations

I think one should just find a companion and fall in love!

Why???

Cos when its his/her bday, its almost as if its your birthday too!!

LOL

Even tho its not my birthday yesterday, i got special treats the whole day.

For instance,my mom so kindly offered to cook a special lunch for him,which of cos i enjoyed too!

His colleagues bought him a tiramisu which of cos i got the chance to enjoy a slice too

Then i got the chance to enjoy a lovely dinner which of cos came from my pocket...HA...

I m soooooooo sleepy now..need to get my rest so i apologize for the lack of words in this post...hehehe...So here are some pics from last nite's dinner

Oh btw..we were at AHA...the restaurant that claimed to serve HEALTHy food...

The menu is separated into a few categories like OMEGA 8 which of cos consists of all the dishes containing fish....and HEALTHY LIVING with items such as fruit yoghurt,fruit juices,etc.

The most amazing thing is lamb and beef and such are categorised under HEALTHY HEART

Im not too sure those are too healthy for our heart..hmmm...

So anyway here they are :

His spaghetti with mussels...



The first time we went to AHA last year, he was so in love with this dish that i tried to prepare it for him on V Day...now if you would so kindly click here and look at the pics...

I think it looks quite similar!!..WAHAAHHAHA


And a very special dish called TREASURE BOX



Its actually a dugged-out bread loaf with a mixture of carrots,cauliflower,fish,prawns,celery and topped with melted parmesan cheese

Its quite special..something out of the ordinary...

I love the bowl-like bread...the cheese-soaked bread is absolutely YUMMY!!!

We had a satisfying and FULFILLING and POCKET-FRIENDLY dinner at AHA!...

And we will be back...cos they awarded us with a FREE membership card last nite...YAY!





errr...this is something un-related to this post...but i just wanna post this up...cos i love this!! Oh its MAYONNAISE CHICKEN btw. HEHEEH will blog about this another day,but for now i just wanna post this pic up for Red Sponge.

DISINILAND...where dreams do not come true

Went to DISINILAND this morning ... and what do i have to say??????

Well...we finished touring the WHOLE place in 15 minutes!

Drove for almost 2o minutes and back in 15 minutes! That is the most un-worthwhile things to do!

The place is located soooo deep among the many kampungs and housing estates that we got lost a few times...grrrr...

And after the hype and anticipation to see all the beautiful ponies and flowers and landscape as pictured in the map...ITS A TOTAL DISAPOINTMENT!!!

The place is dirty and the pathway is muddy and it is smelly...and erm erm ... the worst thing is ... there is ALMOST nothing to see!

I say it is a typical malaysian-no-entrance-fee-required place.

Certainly not worth it to drive so far for nothing! Well, unless of course you wanna take dip in the makeshift swimming pool..then perhaps you would have spent a longer time there.And the pool water seems a little muddy if you ask me...BRRR...

The s0-called DISINILAND CAFE is more like a school canteen.Only problem is, i think the cafeteria in my college is much better

Well, i dont know ... for those who have not been there...you can go and see for yourself.Maybe its not my type of place..and i certainly wont be going there again!

I must say i love animals and i've enjoyed myself a little by looking at the cute baby goats but i think i've had a more enjoyable time in a pet shop

The Time of The Year

Nop...im not talking about christmas...

But its THAT time of the year when i have to crack my head and think of the perfect present for him *groan*

Its his birthday next tuesday and i still am clueless on what to give him!

It has to be something that he'd like and something that i can afford without busting my bank account!

Well...i think that is pratically impossible!

I mean its not possible to buy something that he will like and not busting my bank account at the same time

You knwo why??!!

Cos guys are a hard to please lot....WAHAHAHAHA...

They want something electronic like perhaps a Nintendo DS (bundled together with a game) or a new high profile handphone complete with 3G and high-end camera or perhaps even a brand new PC

Now you get what i mean???

GUYS ARE HARD TO PLEASE!

And i've heard many guys complain that we, ladies require high maintenance???????

I dont think so...

Its so easy to buy a lovely birthday present for you gal and still have your money safe in the bank.

A bouquet of flowers ... a romantic dinner ... and something nice/cute would do the trick!

And you'll have us smiling and cooking you your favourite dishes for a week!

Now on the other hand, if you buy your man something erm...pratical...like perhaps a wallet or a shirt ... he'll smile and say thanks alrite...and maybe throw in a smile and a hug saying OOOOHHH ITS JUST WHAT I NEEDED...

But then...you can just tell it from his eyes...that he was expecting the handphone he was admiring just last week....I JUST KNOW IT!

There is only 2 solutions for me now........its either busting my bank account or having to see him putting on a mask to tell me he loves the shirt i bought him :

Weekend Booster

I can sleep late, play sims2, pamper myself with facial masks, surf the net without any silly internet usage tracking...!!!

Everything is just good about weekends!

Friday not so 13th...

I got the fright of the year just now!! =S

Ok,so here's what happened.... so Red Sponge,13th Panda and I went for our weekly yoga class just now after work.

So after the 1 hour long session, and we were about to go home...i started to look for my keys in my gym bag and couldnt find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I rummaged and rummaged and looked in every nook and cranny but to no avail...BOOHOOOHOOO :(

I got so panicked... that Red Sponge and 13th Panda started to help me sort out the stuffs i had in my bag...taking out everything and putting their hand into the bag...heheehehe

BUT IT WASNT THERE!!!

OH NO OH NO...

And it was at that point, Red Sponge looked out the window to check whether or not my car is still there......

and she anounced to me HEY YOUR CAR IS STILL THERE!

Thank GOD!!!

But how do i drive it home without my car keys???

So 13th Panda helped me sort out my thoughts by asking me to recall back where i went and what i did after i got out from my car and she suggested that i look inside the toilet...but NO KEYS!!!

:(((

I was really on the verge of breaking down already la! If someone had jumped out from a dark corner and said BOO!! i think i would have cried and pee-ed in my yoga pants both at the same time!!!

13th Panda then said there was only one last option ... which is to check whether or not the keys are in my car...so i walked down the stairs with trembling feet and FOUND MY CAR STILL!!! YAY!

And as i walked nearer....i found out my car doors weren't locked!!! Peered a little closer.....and saw my car keys still in the key hole O_O

Thank GOD my car is still there ahhhhh!!!!

If any would-be-thief had past my car...i think he would have just opened the door...start the engines and just drive off :( talking about an easy catch

But i have to Red Sponge and 13th Panda to thank for!!! :))) They are realy cool calm and collected...HEE! THANKS!!!!

Short sighted Bongo

I am a faithful wearer of disposable contact lens for 3 years already.

When the lenses usage period expires...which in my case is 3 months i will need to throw them away and replace with new ones la (naturally :P)

Today, coincidentally, is the last day for my 3-month old contact lens.



Those are my eyes for the past 3 months...wahahaha


Ok ... so i wear color contact lenses...just in case someone who's not familiar with contact lenses start asking why are my expired lenses so dirty

So...my little friend Bongo (shes a monkey beanie baby) has been complaining about short-sightedness since .... well since ........... since i bought him!

Hi! My name is bongo...and I am blind...boohoohooo :'(

Cos she doesnt have any iris/cornea/retina whatsoever...i think she is practically blind...!!

But she doesnt want to admit it ... and told me she is suffering from short-sightedness...

OH WELL...

So i thought...since i dont need my lenses anymore...and she is BLIND...why not let her wear my lenses???

Perfect brown irises for Bongo!!! And look how shiny her eyes are too! And her face is much more expressive now with proper eyes...

hmmm .. the wonders expired contact lenses can do to you! :)

Old Boring Post

Silly ol me

I have something reaaaaaaaaaaaally interesting to blog about 2nite y'know?

Something i got from a forward mail just now.But its nothing like the old boring forward mails you get! Well, like i said its REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALY interesting.

So i sent the mail from my office mail to my yahoo mail so that i could retrieve it when im at home...but then i ACCIDENTALLY DELETED the mail!! ARGHHHHHHHHH ...

So i have to post something less interesting today ... :(

An Interesting Nite Out

Well, im not sure how many of you know about the whole hoards of chinamen/chinawomen selling pirated dvd movies at Jalan Song?

They sell lots and lots of chinese/korean/cartoon and even english series at DIRT CHEAP price!

My dad recently bought 10 DVDs of James Bond Movies at only RM10...!!!!!!

There are always a group of at least 5/6 of them selling these dvds on the walkway.They would place a plastic mat on the pathway and just simply leave their dvds strewn on the mat.

Those who would like to browse thru the discs would have to squat and flip thru those disc by yourself.Certainly, not a very comfortable way to shop for discs.

As for me ... i would mostly prefer to buy my *ahem*discs comfortably at *cough cough* certain shopping complexes

So we were sitting comfortably at the food court at Jalan Song just now when the lady who brought us our Cha Kueh said UH OH...HERE THEY COME...

We looked behind us and saw a group of men wearing those army-green VESTS....hmmm dont know how to explain those vests.Well, its the kind you always see Malaysian plain-cloth police wear la :P

They simply folded up the mat with all the discs inside and went off with the discs!..WAAAAAA...

This is the first time i see a pirated disc raid with my own eyes...AMAZING..*CLAP CLAP*

I am not sure whether or not the stall operator was caught or not...hmmm but at that time, only the discs were there.

Its a lucky thing we were not browsing thru the discs at that time or yours truly might be typing this post from jail rite now..LOL

THE Question

Unfortunately for me, it is not THE ONE posing me THE question....well,maybe not yet :)

But THE question came from someone else...*sigh*

Now what is that THE QUESTION???

Well...what else other than the WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET MARRIED question lorrr...

If you ask me, i think i m getting too much of these questions in the past 1 year.

Well, the first time i got this question...it was a funny feeling...i was giggling and maybe feeling a little warm inside...wahahahaah

But then when not only friends asks this question but even RELATIVES!???

Now now...this is getting irritating x(

I mean, whoever said that a couple who has been going steady for few years should tie the knot ASAP???

Come on.... i m only 23 years old this year ok??? Isnt that a little too young for me to settle down?? (well, at least i think so ;))

Almost every friend we meet up with would pop the quesiton ...grrrr...it is becoming annoying :
Why, just the other day we were joking in the car while on the way to a friend's house. I was asking him

me: EH WHAT IF THEY ASK US WHEN WE WANTO GET MARRIED LATER ON?
him: err...tell them NO MONEY.for sure they keep quiet...
me: want meh??? not really a good answer le. i would say YOU WAIT FOR ANOTHER 10 YEARS LO.
me and him : *giggle giggle*

heheheehe..ok thats a little corny...

but ho...when we reached our friends house and before we started talking on any other topic .... BANG! WHEN U 2 WANNA GET MARRIED HA?

He was really spontaneous i must say cos without any hesitating, he straight away said NO MONEY LORR..while i came out with my default answer WAIT FOR 10 YEARS LO

teeeheheheehehe...

The funniest is when one of our relatives asks THE question.

My mom would usually be in a hurry to quickly answer the question before i manage to even utter WAIT 10 YEARS lo...cos she would say NO LA NO LA STILL SO YOUNG...

Beautiful Sunday

Hi! Good afternoon to you. How do you do?

I hope your sunday is sunny sunny sunny!

:)))

I think it is getting harder to eat good laksa in Kuching nowadays. We have been to two different coffee shops this morning and both are FULL TO THE BRIM! Nowhere for us to sit!

This is frustrating you know?

I dont like to drive all the way to a certain eatery imagining you would be having those elusive laksa in ur tummy in a few minutes only to find out that there is no seat for you!

GRRR...

Anyway, we were quite hungry after being denied of the luxury of laksa-eating and we were getting a bit desperate so we ended up at KAYA & TOAST, a shop that is obviously trying to copycat Ya Kun in Singapore.

And we ended up with miserable looking breakfast...here take a look





The half-boiled egg is not half boiled it is THREE-QUARTER-boiled egg...wahahahaahha..cos it is ALMOST boiled already as you can see from the pic.

And the ham cheese sandwich is so puny...that i started to look for the other piece of sandwich on the floor cos i thought the waitress had dropped one of them 'x'

The book costed me RM31.40 after the 10% discount with the Popular Card.

I really really love Popular book store...i mean where else could you get 10% discount everytime you buy a book or even 20% if its a specially-marked book.

Its a rm3.49 discount you know??????

*Sigh* I used to look at RM3.49 as nothing before i started working...

After i started working and had to pay for every single ridiculous thing out of my pocket...every single cent counts.....even a discount of 50 cents makes me happy...wahahaha..i m fast turning into an auntie *gasp*

Movie Day!

I know i am quite outdated and left out...but i cant help it :(

I just watched the much anticipated movie of the year last nite ...... THE DA VINCI CODE

Yup, the very controversial movie about the Catholic Church and its very existence and source.

I am a Catholic myself, since birth...i come from a very err..catholic family and everyone has been telling me...NO NO , you musnt support this movie ... its against our Catholic Church.

But then again, i've read the book a year ago...and i found the book quite interesting. The first few chapters of the book was quite monotonous...Robert Langdon and Sophie being chased round and round Paris.

I only actually sit up and concentrate on the book when they reached Leigh Teabing's house, a British who's very obsessed with the Holy Grail. Where Teabing explained that Jesus was a mortal, who even married Mary Magdalene and even had a daughter!!! *eyes open wide*

I must really say Dan Brown is a very good writer. He has managed to put this and that together and make a new point altogether. Therefore, making people actually believe that Jesus IS a mortal.

Before i read the book, i have received comments from others who told me DONT READ THE BOOK, MY FAITH WAVERED AFTER I READ IT.hmmmm

Still i read it la...

But here i am ... still a Catholic :P

After all the hullaballoo about the book, a movie based on the book was released...

OHOHOHO...another uproar from the Christian community.

I cant blame them either...cos there are some people who just believe everything they read and see from the book and from the movie.

I mean how could you let a single FICTION book destroy your years of faith in christianity without any further investigation or research???

The worst thing is ... non-christians or those anti-christians people now have something to say against us.

They might laugh at us and point fingers and laugh ...

So...i still think that it is not really such a good idea that a movie was produced based on this book.Cos now....every tom dick and harry who do not (or cannot) appreciate a good novel will be able to watch this movie and all will say HAHAHA JESUS WAS A MORTAL... definitely not a good idea

Why, there were even some weirdos in the cinema with us last night who seemed to have believed every single word they see in the movie. Idiots! 'x'

They were talking and shining their obscenely-BRIGHT handphone screen rite in the cinema ...and moving around... changing seats...

GRRRR...hellooo??? if you cant watch an english movie, pls go out and have some kolo mee or drink cola ok??? Cos everyone else who CAN understand the movie, would want to enjoy the movie...so there 'x'

So anyway, i was soooo happy with Star Cineplex last nite....why???

Cos its soo empty! so glad~~ ^_^

We could even sit and have a nice quiet chat on the chairs provided there...

And the best thing is...we managed to get a nice seat for the movie even tho we arrived only 35 minutes before the movie started.....OH JOY~ :P



See???

I am so gonna watch movies on NON-movie days from now on. The few extra Ringgit i paid for my tickets on a non movie day is so much worth the shoving and pushing on movite nite....

OK..so the movie...

It was so so ... i would give it an 8.5 if i had not read the book...but because i've read the book before i would give it an 8.0

hahahah...

I just absolutely love Tom Hank's acting...so nice!! and its a plus point for him being err..quite good looking la ^_^

But then, just because i've read the book i have noticed that they have left out one or two details which i think would be important in order to make the audience fully understand the movie. But i cant blame them, cos the movie is already a 2 and a half hour long...add in more details, and we would have to spend the night in the cinema 'x'

However, they really did a good job in illustrating all the historical points being explained by the Robert Langdon and Leigh Teabing. I lurve that...i think this is the first time i saw a movie doing such a good job in illustrating all those factual points.



But one thing which rather disturbed me is that.........they have modified certain parts of the book :( booooooooooo

definitely a minus point for that!

In the book, Jacques Sauniere is really the grandpapa of Sophie Neveu.But the movie said she is not!

And then i don really like it when suddenly a whole lot of people turned up to meet Sophie at the Rosslyn Chapel when Sophie and Robert visited the chapel..that is just so corny~~

These and others...these were not in the book...

Overall, i would still say the movie is a good one and the book is a good read. And for those out there who really believed that Jesus is a mortal after watching the movie....i tell you, the truth is out there~~ :P

National Geographic Special

I received a mail entitled "Best Photo from National Geographic Channel" this morning...

With this picture...





There's a deer in the pic (pointed by the yellow arrow) running at such an INCREDIBLE speed that it actually WALKED ON THE WATER!

Isnt that amazing???

So i studied this picture for a while ...and sent it out to him...

He replied me saying ... 'IS THIS TRUE???'

Well..of cos its true..cos its an authentic pic from National Geographic itself!

Even so, it is a little hard to believe that a little deer like that could run sooooooooooooo fast without any err...motivation...

So i thought and thought ... and realised that, there must have been something missing from the pic above...something that the National Geographic people didnt think ought to be shown to the public...

When it finally hit me...












There!!.. Now dont u think it is much easier to believe why the deer would run THAT fast ???

Interesting Story

Was clearing up my office inbox..

could you believe it??? my inbox is taking up 1gig of my hard disk space!!

Certainly need some cleaning up!

But it was rather interesting to read all those previous forward mails..some funny some touching stories, some meaningful quotes...

Educational Night

Hi!

There's only around half an hour of 6/6/06 left :)

So .. im gonna post a blog on this day so that i will remember it lo...

Was watching the National Geographic Channel the whole nite. That is something out of the ordinary, cos i dont usually watch TV, let alone watch National Geographic la...hehehe

Actually, there was nothing really good on tv too...we were wanting to wait for Spongebob Squarepants to show at 9.30 and it was only 9pm, so we did some channel-hopping and found the long lost National Geographic channel ^_^



But i must praise the channel for its really interesting shows. One after another...

At 9 pm 2nite, they were showing a series on flight disasters...

Tonite they were talking about how a group of siao,chao terrorists in Iraq tried out their newly found homing missile near the Baghdad International Airport.

They chin chai aim at any plane flying out of the airport and the unlucky plane was the DHL Airbus carrying all the mails from US for the American soldiers who were serving there at that time lo (Nov 2003)

The homing missile struck one of the wings of the plane and the plane like totally lost control lo. Cos it damaged the errrr....network of hydraulic pipes in the plane and made the pilots lost control of the plane....erm something like that la... i m no aeronautics enginner k? 'x'

So the 3 people on board were really KENG la...they somehow managed to bring the plane to a safe landing after a gruelling battle to stabilise the wavering plane.

Ok those are some pretty boring stuffs...

Which brings me to the point im trying to point out here...

So, NASA saw that there have been quite a number of plane crashes caused by the failure of its hydraulic system. Therefore, they came out with a solution!!!

Now what solution is that???

It is simple.....COMPUTERISE THE PLANE....wahahahaahahahah

at the end, those pilots and engineers and what nots still need to come back to us IT people for help!!! muahahaahahahah ... so proud!

NASA has developed a software which will send instructions to the engines in the case of failure in the hydraulic systems,so that the engines will control the flight of the plane instead of depending on the hydraulic systems alone. This i think is still not possible as of yet.

The show 2nite...made me really proud once again to be a Software Programmer...kekekeke...even tho, i only develop crappy web based systems...oh well.... =

Phewwww i have survived yet another difficult Monday!!! woohooo~~~




Haha for those who dont know, it has been a public holiday in Kuching since Thursday. So that makes it a FOUR DAY WEEKENDS!!! Life just cannot get any better than this! :)))

But as happy as i may be, still, life has to get back to normal on Monday :(((

And those Mondays after a long long weekend is always exceptionally difficult to digest.

It is EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT to wake up
EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT to eat my breakfast
EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT to get my car out of the driveway
EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT to tolerate those idiotic drivers
EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT to drag my heavy feet into my office

haiya...in short, everything is EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT la...

But here i am again!!! Another difficult monday defeated and OVER! :)

I have been dreading today since the holiday begun, cos i am supposed to do deployment to our live server again :(

Bad things always happen when i deploy stuffs, you kno...cant login, cant access important functionalities and things like that. And then, i would have to stay back after office hours...OHH! the agony!

But today's deployment was an exception! Cos things went A-OK! *fingers crossed* x)

Even if things were to go bad 2moro...its ok....cos it is no longer a MONDAY! YAY

Ok...i think thats about enough to talk about on a BLUE MONDAY...

Why Watching a Movie in the Cinema Isnt Such a Good Idea...

Lets compare Scenario A and Scenario B :

Scenario A

Mission : Watch X-MEN 3

Drove all the way to Riverside Cineplex on Wednesday evening, to catch the 9pm movie cos its usually not as packed as Star Cineplex. When we reached there, the parking is already full so we decided to try our luck at Star lo...

When we reached there, the car park was full and we had to queue for a while before we could find an empty space. Being there at the Star Cineplex car park made me realised one fact tho ... Kuching is full of idiotic drivers who think they r so good they do not have to queue up like everybody else.

Ok...so found a parking space and went up to Star Cineplex. It was jam-packed with people~~~ Queued up and found that the 9pm movie is fully booked and so is the 10 pm one :(

So we decided that we should come again on the next day (which is today) to try out our luck.

Come day two...we went straight to Riverside Cineplex knowing that Star will of cos packed again since its a holiday. Reached there at around 1pm to catch the 2.15pm movie. Booked our tickets and thank God there IS a place for us. Smiling happily we proceeded to the Ground Floor to have our lunch.

KFC is full....so is the eatery owned by Giant and we r left with only one choice...........Sugarbun..... boooooooo

LOL... i m never a great fan of Sugarbun. I am not sure why. The food is ok ... but i dont really like their service. They are slooooowwwwwwww...

Anyway, went up to the cineplex at 2pm and happily went in to watch the rather hard-to-get X-Men III....

It was quite good, but then ... when it came to the part where the Mutants......ermmmmm I'd better not reveal anything here...wahahhhaha...

Ok...so when it came to the part where theres a lot of action....you could say it was the finale....BAM! The movie became a silent one!

There was ABSOLUTELY no sound at all except for the BOOS and complains of the viewers...and this went on for at least 10 minutes before the sound came back and by that time the action was all over!

BOOHOOHOOO!!! We want a refund!!!!

So thats the end of Scenario A... and lets look at the expenses incurred:

Tickets (RM9 * 2) = RM18
Parking fee = RM 3
Titbits (from the overpriced cineplex snack bar) = RM 7

***titbits include 2 bottles of mineral water and a packet of cheezels

and WAHLAHHH... we have a grand total of RM28

Time incurred for Scenario A : TWO freaking days


Scenario B

Mission : Watch X-MEN 3

Drive to saberkas and drop by Empire. Open eyes up wide and look for X-MEN III ...AHA! There it is!

Proceed to counter and fork out RM8.

Drive home ....

Oh wait!!

Stop by at a nearby supermarket and buy some cheezels for ONLY RM1.60 ( no need to buy water la )

Go home...change into your comfortable t shirt ...

Kick up your feet ...

and WAHLAHHH!... you have XMEN III

Now lets look at the expenses incurred in Scenario B :

DVD : RM8
CHEEZELS : RM1.60

Grand total : RM9.60

Time Incurred : 2 hours


So there you have it ... really something to ponder upon really....

HA!
