Something is growing

I have been so pet-deprived that i just needed something to tend to...those of you who have been following my blog for a while now would know i have brown thumbs :(

no plants under my care grows well, cactus included 'x'

so you can imagine how desperate i was when i bought a flower starter kit as my little "pet" ...wahahaa

i didnt really put much thought into how the little seed would fare under my care despite someone's discouragement...YOU??? PLANT???

but hey lookie here...

see what we have here! :) it has sprouted this morning!!!
wow i never experienced the joy of seeing the little seeds sprouting..hahaha

so hopefully you can see some flowers on this blog soon 'x' *keep fingers crossed*

Roti boy!

I know this is nothing new la...but believe it or not...i just tried roti boy last week! 'x' and ive been there twice since then and am still thinking of the nice fragrant bun! :D

i can remember the first time i saw a roti boy cart in Orchard road Singapore 5 years ago. i couldnt understand what's the big fuss about a kosong bun! so never bothered to try la...

and boy am i hooked to roti boy! the crunch sweet taste of the outer crust and the soft fluffy buns with the mysterious filling (i think its butter)

its true..one is never enough!! :D
and surprise of all surprises..roti boy originated from Penang...lol

i wanto go back for more roti boys!!!

Accident Prone me

Can't believe i m such a big klutz!

yes i got my finger cut AGAIN...

and you just wouldnt believe how i got it cut this time...you know the metal thingy u use to "kiap" things?

this one la...

well, i was in the office cafeteria one fine afternoon trying to put some kueh into a plastic bag and my finger somehow got trapped in between the metal edges of its handle =_="

it's almost absurd how much blood that cut produced!

Durian @ Balik Pulau

Since it's the durian season now...we took the opportunity to drive up to balik pulau in search of durians!!! :)

the road to balik pulau is really quite hard to drive for our small cc car...going up and down...i can feel the engine groaning when going up the hill (altho i m not the one driving la 'x')

along the road there are quite a few "stalls" selling durian. you can eat your durians there just like any normal coffeeshop :P

there's the cap kaki durian...

and even got cap tangan..hahaha

we went for the cap kaki ;)


you can eat the durian in the natural habitat of durians...

you tell the owner wat kind of durian you want...sweet/bitter? red meat?

and they will choose one for you...i m amazed at their durian expertise :P

this sweet durian here cost us RM18

but it is well worth the money since the whole fruit is guaranteed good!

even got complimentary water for you to eat on top of their durian shaped table :P

and we bought back a red meat durian

nice....

looking at the pic makes me yearn for moreee!!!!

Risk of cancer associated with asbestos

Facebook is slowly driving my blog to its non-existance!!!!!!!!

The thing is i was resizing photos to blog just now and i just got stuck uploading more n more of them to my facebook...

So here's a short post for you with a photo of my current sarawak laksa-replacement here in Penang...lol

Nurse Lifestyle Magazine

Working in a hospital is no easy job since it is a matter of life and death even if you make one small mistake! Which is why it is nice to see some people taking the effort to create Scrubs which caters especially for nurses. The magazines talk about stuffs like summer fashion for both scrubs and regular fashions! Can you imagine there's even fashion for scrubs? Well, for those of us who are not nurses, we sure won't understand the feeling of wearing the same old scrubs to work everyday.

There's also reviews on makeup and beauty section. One article that caught my attention talked about the importance of applying lipstick to change your whole look in just a few minutes. It particularly related to nurses as most of them are tired and short in time since they have to work shifts and what-nots. So applying lipstick is the easiest and fastest way to primp themselves up before work! This article called "Waking up younger" talks about simple steps to wake up younger. I think this is especially important for nurses due to their busy work schedules.

There is also a whole lot of other topics being discussed such as work, jokes and even about love. Now don't you wish there are magazines out there which caters for your particular job field? I do wish to have a Programmer's Lifestyle magazine :)

Langkawi Trip (Part II)

Ok let's continue with my langkawi trip 'x' lets see how long i can keep up with posting about my langkawi trip...i m already on the verge of giving up...wahaha
